Jezebel here, completely new to the game and dragging in this asshole atheist, one Kurt Darkholme from the Age of Apocalypse. He's taken from what might or might not have been a decade after the original AoA run, fresh from the end of the X-Termination crossover event that sought to up the stakes by killing not one, but two Nightcrawlers in the same battle. Fun times.

In addition to being basically allergic to religion, he's sometimes a charmer but more often a snark machine with a pretty warped sense of humor who has a nigh-Freudian love of stabbing things. He also absolutely despises being called 'elf' and gets particularly snide about being mistaken for Kurt Wagner. Clearly he will have no problems at all dealing with his new home!

I intend to post him rejoining the world of the living within the next couple of days: in the mean-time, his opt-out post is here for anyone that might want to avoid certain topics in his canon, and I can be found on plurk at holyjezebel!

Though maybe you can help me out here. Logan is from about 2010. Would he have met this version of Kurt yet? If he has, I'll go read the relevant issues. (It's hard when your character is in basically everything. I think this Kurt shows up in 616 after his canon point, but hell if I know for sure.)

You're right in that this version of Kurt did end up in the 616 universe, but that happened around 2013. He showed up around the end of the new run of Uncanny X-Force, if you want to read them anyway for the giggles. Basically, he'll know (and be wary of) 616 Logan, but Logan won't know him specifically.

I've never run into another AoA before! I probably should have read all the stuff that came after it. Kitty knows she died and she thinks they were just successful with the timeline and after talking to the Logan here figures that her world turned into his. THE END. /ties with a bow. So this will be very interesting! She'll be excited to actually have someone from home.

I'm only juuuuust familiar with AoA -- I know Kurt does awesome things like BAMF of people's heads, and that Rogue got married to Magneto and other sorts of things -- but do they share any kind of familial/friendly connection?

'cause see, Rogue just came from being alternately quiet village/science experiment/WAR WAR WAR to the relative quiet of DF, and she had a Kurt with her in Luceti and they went through some pretty horrific drafts together... but this version of Evo!Kurt has NONE of those memories, so she's kind of like: HE'S A BABY, BE CAREFUL WITH HIM--

So seeing AoA Kurt is just gonna be... O_O

I feel vanishingly guilty about some of the stuff Kurt's going to have to update her on, but no lie I'm also looking forward to it. It's going to be so bittersweet for him to have her around, but definitely a comfort.

That'll be interesting if you do. His association with 616 Logan ended with Kurt betraying him and X-Force for revenge, and I highly doubt he'll be very forthcoming with that information.

That would be hilarious and nostalgic fun. Not for this guy, because his world sucks and mutant baseball was never a thing, but for the players.

Yes, but it's more implied than anything? He was raised by his mother, to whom he was very close, and Mystique was also the one who found Rogue and brought her to the X-Men. They weren't together for very long, but Raven got attached enough that leaving Rogue behind drove her to tears, so there's that. Also there's the connection of her being married to Magneto, who is Kurt's mentor and close enough of a friend for Kurt to question his judgement, so.

Oh man, poor Rogue. Well at least this version of Kurt won't be too phased by much of it? Science experiment/WAR WAR WAR is a good description of his world, and if I have my math right with the CRAU your Rogue should be about the age his was during the first war, so. Once he calms his tail they can trade war stories?

Not a whole lot. I am essentially a comics novice in most areas haha, but I do know that Magneto formed the X-Men in AoA. Erik's heard a tiny bit about it from Kitty so far.

hehe, yes, give her all the things to deal with. She's going to be so happy to have him but probably also feel awkward because she's had a year's worth of very different living that's changed her. (It was a 7:1 game too so almost 7 years of play went into that.) Makes every joke about the days feeling longer somehow.
