As selfish as it sounds... it has been an extremely pleasant change indeed.
[ It's been nice, because it's almost as if she's been given the chance to just start all over again. She's sure that even though it's peaceful now there will be times of crisis even here, but that's something she can handle and live with. She's pretty sure that if they can handle the situation at home, they can handle almost anything that pops up here, too. ]
It's good to hear you say that. I've yet to see daemons as well, and I can say for a fact that there are no traces of the Empire here. That isn't to say they couldn't show up, of course... but for now, there is none.
[ It's a concern of hers, of course, that Ardyn could show up. If she can be pulled from the dead, if Noctis can be stolen from his quest... yes, there's a good chance that someone unsavory from home could also eventually be dragged here. But she'd rather not dwell on that for now.
She hums a little at his question, tilting her head slightly in thought. ]
The place we are currently docked in has sick people. I've been doing what I can to help and take care of them. [ That much hasn't changed from home -- her powers are useless here because the inhabitants of this particular planet are not affected by the Starscourge. But she can at least offer a hand to hold and kind words.
Her smile widens, though, as she peers up at him to meet his gaze. ]
We are very free to live how we want here, yes. The only true obligations we've been given are those of our assigned tasks aboard the ships. With this in mind, I believe that you and I have twelve years that desperately need catching up on. As much as I enjoyed our journal, I think I'm going to enjoy spending time with you instead of just through pen and paper. If you'll have me, that is.
[ She doesn't want to step on his toes or get in his way, of course, but she most definitely wants to stay at his side. She can only hope he'll want her to do just that and allow her to do so. The last time she'd seen her elder brother, she'd been in hysterical tears after he'd denied her request to deliver the Ring to Noctis for her, but he'd told her to show Noctis the truth of her heart.
She's not sure how her King feels about her, at least in that aspect, but she knows that her own feelings for him will never change. Silently, she asks her brother for forgiveness because she doesn't have the courage just yet to spill to Noctis how she really feels. There's a time and place for everything, after all. Soon. ]
