[ It's not fair on either of them and Zaveid realises it; this isn't something he can rationally handle and it's not something that Eizen ought to live through. Coming back to hear about yourself as a dragon, to know who murdered you and put you down, who had been there... He had experienced that with Mikleo already and it had been almost impossible for them to work through it. It was only the water Seraph pushing and pushing with Sorey to help them that they had managed to come back to a place almost better than they had been before.

It's not that simple with Eizen. Their history was far longer, more intense, and Eizen... There's no denying that Eizen meant a great deal more to him than Mikleo had at that time. He had known him longer, cared about him for longer, and he has to try and manage his emotions as he turns, eyes flicking back over, lips turning down into a small frown. ]


Yeah? [ And there it comes, finally - addressing the problem. Zaveid sighs, pushing himself off the doorframe and standing a little taller, frown on his face. ] Maybe they don't have a reason to run away.
