Have you been looking for some new CR? Want an excuse to friend someone on plurk? Have a cool idea for a thing in the game but aren't sure whether or not anyone would be interested? Just want to find another character who likes making snide remarks about cute little chickens painted on rustic terra-cotta pottery? NOW IS THE TIME.

Velvet is more of a big sister type really, since she's only 19 (or 20 now I guess, since she's been in the fleet a year) She took care of her little brother before she became a daemon, so. She can be kind of gruff and her morals aren't always on the straight and narrow but she still has older sibling instincts.

And one of her canon's big themes is making your own choices and doing what you want so she isn't going to be inclined to control him.

Also as a daemon she doesn't really need to sleep much, so if knowing someone is alert while he rests would make him feel better, that's one nice thing about being on the Red Fish.

Aang has a way of attracting people with big sibling instincts and crooked moral compasses. He'll feel right at home.

Once he gets to know her better and he begins to trust that she'll actually keep an eye out and make sure no one kills him in his sleep, that may be a good way of convincing him to actually sleep in his room. Otherwise he'll probably be sleeping in the trees in the Iskaulit or on the Red Fish's fridge.
