My Life on the D-List: The Namorita Prentiss Story

Hey, everybody! I'm Carolyn and I just got accepted with Marvel Comics sidekick/third-stringer Namorita, distaff counterpart and cousin of the much more powerful and useful Namor. Nothing about her makes the least bit of sense, even by cape comics standards, so don't try to force it, but the brief summary: She is laid-back and extremely friendly, cheerful, and ethical, plus she can fly, breathe underwater, and use a Buick as a melee weapon. Also she sounds and acts like an American teenager despite having grown up in Atlantis and being probably in her 30s.

Looking forward to meeting/playing with all of you!

PS. Relevant to canonmates: She got resurrected in 2011, so she's current to right before AvX, but because of Time Travel Shenanigans, she only remembers through about 1992. She knows about Civil War and her own death, but if anyone's aware IC of the crap Namor's been up to since Hickman's New Avengers run started, I'd rather she not hear about it, because there's only so much of this nonsense one character can stand.

Howdy. Yeah, I'm new entirely.

I'm pretty sure Nita knows 616 Kitty at least in passing (she's a mutant and had a New Mutants team up, but I don't remember if Kitty was on the team at that point) but she's entirely used to stupid alternate universe bullshit, so not being recognized will not bother her at all. She'll absolutely respond to that X-Men namedrop in Kitty's post when I'm done with dinner.

Awesome! I looked up Namor in AoA to see what he was up to. Dying apparently. No mentions of Namorita.

In any given AU she's generally doing whatever Namor's doing, so I'm gonna go with "also dead."

Hello there! I'm Gore, and I play Kurt Wagner from X-Men Evolution as well as Steven Universe! I'm not very familiar with Namorita beyond her general existence, so I'm excited to get to know her! It's alright for her to mention his 616 self if she knows him. I hope that you have a great time here!

Thanks! I'm excited; I haven't had her anywhere in a while but she's lots of fun to play.

I generally assume she has at least a nodding acquaintance with people, because she's lived in NYC, gone to Fantastic Four/Avengers parties since the 70s, and could make friends with a brick wall, but she's a total background character so it's not like I have proof of any of this. Plus, y'know, Kurt's pretty distinctive.

And haha yes, I'm perfectly fine with such assumptions! He does tend to stick out in a crowd... especially in the world with less image inducing.

I'm not super-familiar with Evo, but do I know she and 616 Kurt would get along famously, so if Evo Kurt's even remotely close they should hit it off.
