[ She gives the surrounding stores a quick look over, idly cataloging all that is on offer. Practically a god mine for a merchant, all the opportunities to make a profit! Rose barely holds back the grin that creeps onto her face. ]

Sure thing. [ Without warning she bows deeply. ] Rose, leader of the Sparrowfeathers, at your service Lord Seraphim.

[nerdeology]

[Ugh. Even knowing she's not serious, it's still way too weird.]

Please, don't. It's bad enough when Alisha does that.

[ It's an almost embarrassing snort that leaves her as she straightens, eyes practically glowing with amusement. ]

But you make the funniest expression, it's priceless. [ She is terrible, utterly terrible. ] Alright Mikleo, what tasty alien foods we looking at?

[nerdeology]

[She is terrible, but she's helping, so he'll leave it alone.]

I haven't tried enough of them to have a proper list, so I thought we'd just buy whatever looked good, or at least has a recommendation from the residents. Fruits and vegetables preferred- Sorey's taking care of the meat.

Fruits and vegetables, right.

[ Already her mind whirs into gear listing off the things she had already seen, foods she learned something or other about. How much she can haggle down the price, how many extra pieces she can coax out -

Sorey's doing what? [ That can't be good. ] Woah, woah, woah, please tell me he isn't trying to purchase meat.

[ Suddenly Rose is a little worried about their money stores. ]

[Mikleo tilts his head to the side, confused, his arms crossing over his chest. Honestly, the thought hadn't even occurred to him. Sorey has made his share of reckless purchases since they started (thousands of gald devoted to multiple rounds of the admittedly-delicious Drago Stew comes to mind) but raw meat isn't one.]

He's not. Sorey's out hunting in the forest right now.

[lustres]

[ Oh, oh. ]

You sure it's safe to leave him alone in a forest full of giant lizards? They're pretty vicious and like to hunt in packs.

[ And aren't hellions. ]

I wouldn't worry too much about it. He might not look it, but he's a decent hunter, and he knows when to back off when he should.

[Better than decent, actually, and not... entirely reckless, although having someone to remind him of danger has come in handy on occasion.

Either way, he does trust Sorey with this. Mostly.]

Anyway, I can tell he's not too far off. If he needs some back up, he just has to call my name.

Yeah, he has a pretty decent head on those shoulders.

[ Rose rolls her shoulders, giving a short glance to the distant landscape past the market and all it's stalls. ]

Alright, I'll try not to worry so much. [ Something of a habit she's developed, one hard to shake a lot of the time. ]

Fruits and vegetables. [ Time to get your head into the game. She shifts her weight, switching modes within a blink of an eye. ] How much money are we working with here?

[nerdeology]

[Mikleo calls up the little pouch he'd been carrying the "money" in. He's made enough to probably make it through the shopping trip, but as for how much...]

Their currency here is pretty unusual. I'm not entirely sure what it's worth.

[He tosses the pouch her way. It's, uh. Full of acorns, so enjoy that.]
