[ Padmé is walking through the town, looking rather content. This planet sets her at ease in a way none of the others did. It reminds her of home.

She sees the robes first. A Jedi? But then she looks at him properly and... there's no mistake. It's Luke. Older, yes, but it is him. She moves toward him with something like urgency. ]

Luke?

[Luke is aware of the woman in the Force before he sees her. He is perplexed and shocked, haunting memories of the holograms he saw recorded on Artoo surfacing in his mind. There's no mistaking her identity, but he struggles with how it's happening. He knows how beings have been brought to this ship, this show, from throughout time and space, but still it's a shock.]

M...Mother? Are you truly...is it really you? And you know me...

[He knows she died in childbirth, so it's both surprising and wonderful that she recognizes him.]

[ He doesn't remember the Fleet. She shouldn't be surprised-- he's forgotten before-- but he does recognize her this time. That makes it a little easier... doesn't it?

She smiles, a little tentative. ]

It is me. As for how I know you, it's complicated. [ Padme's smile brightens. ] Regardless of the circumstances, I'm happy to see you again, Luke.

[Luke listens, taking it in. His heart is racing, his mind wondering if it's a dream. It's so real, it can't be...he just hopes it isn't some form of trick.

I..,I am glad to meet you, even though I don't know how it happened. I've wanted to for so long. I found out about you, but always wished I could have known you. However it was that The Force brought us here, I'm glad.

Nobody quite knows how it's possible, I'm afraid.

[ 'Found out about.' It still hurts a little that her children hadn't known her. That she's been a ghost at best and a secret at worst.

Still, she can't be sad when she sees him. He's older, but she still sees that twenty-something she'd met before. All of that brightness and innocence still shines inside of him.

She starts to place her hands on his shoulders in a comforting gesture, but she ends up going in for a hug instead. She hadn't had a chance to before. ]

[He still has that innocence, the desire to help others. He feels so many emotions-joy, sadness, a bit of anger that he never knew her growing up. He radiates warmth and happiness through the Force to her, and love. He feels tears in his eyes as he returns the hug, something he never thought would happen. He can see and feel so much of himself in her.]

I have managed to learn a little about you...I'm happy to be your son. I've wished so often that you could see me grown up, see what I became. This...I often pictured something a little like this.

[ She feels herself tearing up now in spite of herself. When she met Luke and Leia on the Fleet, she worried that she wouldn't measure up to their expectations.

She's smiling softly when she pulls away, keeping her hands on his shoulders. ]

I'm so proud of you and your sister. You're so brave and kind, how could I not be proud?

[Luke had to smile. It felt good hearing that from his mom. For a moment, he wondered what his dad would say when they had a chance to talk. But for now, this was all that mattered.]

It's been a long road, and very hard at times, but somehow we made it through. We found each other and came so much further together than we ever could have dreamed.

I do wish you could meet more of the family, too. I'm aware Jaina's here, but the rest, I mean. And I...[He feels a few tears] I wish there was a way I could take you back with me, to have you there with us alive.

[ Padmé feels a pang in her heart. Every time she's reminded of her children, of her absence in their lives, it hurts her. She sees the tears in his eyes and barely holds hers back. ]

We're both here now. I-- we should make the most of it.

[ Anakin would be proud of the way she's focusing on the present. ]

[Luke nods. He doesn't know how they're here together or why or how long they'll have, but he knows she's right. He wants to try to stop trying to analyze it and just live it.]

Yes. I want to. I don't know how long we'll have, but I want to make every minute count.

[ Padme smiles, warm and fond and sad. ]

Anakin is here too.

[ She can't quite say "your father" without it sounding strange to her. Then again being "mother" is still a big adjustment for her too. ]

[Luke returns the smile, his eyes warm like hers.]

I thought he might be...I felt him in the Force. The man he truly is...good and strong and brave.

[He's a struggling a little, knowing how complicated things must be. But it was good to be able to sense the real Anakin, not the dark, corrputed presence of his past.]

I did meet him back home. But it was so brief. I know it's got to be complicated for us all, but I do hope I can meet him and get to know him while I'm here. I know of the good man he truly was, and sometimes I wonder even if I could still learn from him.

[ Padmé stops. Anakin's alive in the future? Nobody had said that he died, but she just assumed that if the children had been separated and sent to live with Bail and Owen, he must have died. Anakin would never willingly give up their children. Something must have changed.

She could ask. Luke wouldn't lie to her, not directly. But something stops her. She finds that she doesn't want to know. Not when she can't do anything about it. ]

I'm sure he has sensed you too. It might be complicated here as well, but I know it will be alright.

[Luke is kind of glad she isn't pressing about what happened. He doesn't want to have to tell her how it was as Anakin...as his dad was dying, after having saved his life.]

Yes. [He nods.] He probably has. And I think so too...it will be all right.

[ Padme smiles, fond and kind. She'll give Anakin a heads-up first, of course, but Luke always seemed so earnest to get to know him. ]

Shall I show you around? I know a few places to eat, if you're hungry.

[Luke returns the smile.]

Sure, that would be good. I am a little hungry.

[ She inclines her head toward the market. ]

Follow me.

All right.

[He waits for her to lead, then follows, looking around as he does.] This place is very interesting, I think.

[ The smell of exotic spices fills the air and the sound of exotic instruments echoes against the simple wooden buildings. ]

It's interesting in more ways than one. The planet itself facilitates telepathy between the people of this planet-- and the visitors.

[Luke likes the simplicity of the place, and the sights, sounds and smells. He listens as she explains about the planet's ability.]

I thought I could sense a little of something, some kind of energy. So, even those who aren't normally able to do such things can while they're here?
