Going on a Hiatus \o/

Hey all, Teru here! Just wanted to give my CR who may or may not be on my plurk that I'll be taking a hiatus for the month of August. My grandmother passed away last night so there's going to be lots to do between now and the funeral and I'm also finishing up summer classes so I'm going to be taking some time to myself to focus on that stuff.

Thank you again to everyone on plurk who gave me well wishes it means a lot to me.

Leliana, Korra, and Daenerys will all be put into the cryosleep state, leaving Qing in charge of the Caprine (Pinkie try not to set anything on fire). When I come back I plan to do a post with Dany announcing Drogon's hatching so LOOK FORWARD TO BABY DRAGON FLEET PEOPLES. Permissions for Naga and Schmooples go to their respective casts and anyone on the Wonderduck who wants to have fun with Naga or something.

Oh!! Really she probably just gets up early, lights candles (if Stefan or someone else hasn't already) and filters about or prays herself. I don't think she gets a lot of the Thedas crew actually in the center except maybe occasionally Fenris when he thinks no one's looking lol.

Ahh awesome! Stefan does quite a bit, from praying five times a day [I'm like 90% sure he doesn't do all five prayers in the center tho] to hosting interfaith talks on Thursdays and leading Islamic prayers on Fridays and making sure the tea cabinets are fully stocked and cleaned when possible. There's a kitchen tucked away, as well as an unused fire room & washrooms meant for Muslim worship, etc. So it's a huge space! Lots to do and help with, etc.

Leliana could help with the upkeep if she'd like :> Stef's the only Muslim in-game as far as I know, so most of his work deals with helping others find their spiritual practice and then doing whatever's necessary to keep it in balance.

Oh!! Cleaning she can do! And maybe in the future she might give interested parties a bit of a history lesson on Andraste and teach verses from the Chant of Light (though that could be like *weeks* just reciting each canticle alone would be weeks really lmao)

Stefan's style of interfaith talk is ripped straight from The Interfaith Youth Core, so think less talks about specific faiths and more talks about "What do you love about your faith? What common misconceptions do people have about your faith? What do you want to share about your faith??"

He's less inclined to go for specific faiths since it'll feel like proselytizing :") THAT SAID, I've been thinking about talking to Winn's player for a specific "Faith Corner" thing. So maybe we could swing with that?? I don't think he would be too happy with a talk in the Center, given its focus on harmony and faiths practicing together.

Take those talks elsewhere, and he'd be more than happy to help organize them.

Oh!! D: that's totally fine (re the talking about specific faiths) I'm still getting my feet wet really with ideas because Leliana's the first religious character I've ever RPed so the sky's the limit truly. I like the idea of a Faith Corner and Leliana would love to learn about other's faiths. She's huge into stories and history and things.

Also - do you have a plurk by chance? I do a lot of plotting on there but if you'd rather your hmd/ooc post be used for future plotting we can do that too.

Aw no, no worries! I don't ever mean to come off rude, and I'm really excited that you're diving into this world c: Faith isn't a topic often discussed in fiction, let alone RP, so the limits are endless! I've done interfaith work before, so I've got more resources (and possibly mentor-types to look up, haha, should you want to go that route of seeing who Stefan's trying to emulate).

I do have a plurk, but I'm not keen on sharing at the moment for various IRL reasons. (It's nothing against you; it's more that 2016 has taught me more about RPers than I would've cared to know in regards to my love for faith.) That said, we could move this to PMs? Or the HMD post, I really have no preference.
