Summary of the event:

On 9/4, Sorey (this journal) will be taking a shuttle down to Solrius in an effort to get away from the Fleet. Those with strong spiritual powers may feel the departure of a powerful entity that's really quickly going very, very bad as Sorey generates malevolence (please see here for information on his powers/domain).

A few days after that, Mikleo (nerdeology) will be following him down. Upon getting closer to Sorey's powers and the negative energy generated by the warring factions, he will transform into a mindless but totally badass ice dragon.

Anyone is welcome to notice/hear about some teenager with his gigantic fuck-you dragon lurking around just out of sight of the cities while on the planet.

On 9/10 I'll be posting a catch-all log for interactions, and for the final confrontation taking place on the day before the ships leave the system! We would prefer neither Sorey nor Mikleo be killed since we got something in place for both of them re: endgame (with Zaveid killing Mikleo and Allen purifying Sorey), but if anyone wants to challenge a suped-up dark!Shepherd and his best buddy LargeHuge McDragon to a fight that one or both parties will need to escape from PLEASE DO!

she's gonna be very hard to get to give up though so she might need someone to pull her ass out before she dies (unless you want to kill her, i mean). on the other hand she's level 30ish, so endgame-tier boss fights are not going to go well for her even if she fights like an asshole.

I am open to actively threading stuff or allowing Mikleo-dragon to be angrily NPC'd to avoid slowing down threads with multiple people, so please let me know if you have any questions about how things will go with him!

Here's some basic info:

- dragons breathe fire, but as he's an ice elemental, his magic is more an ice-fire than fire-fire

- he can still cast seraphic artes, so expect ice spells thrown at your face, ice shards piercing up from the ground, water blasts, fun stuff. with ice.

- he can heal himself, as an extra-big fuck you to anyone trying to enjoy a good boss fight

- CLAWS AND TEETH, CLAWS AND TEETH

- for those who've played Dragon Age Inquisition, just basically imagine fighting those dragons and yeah. yeah.

- or if you're looking for a canon example, here's one.

- due to the fact that Mikleo's deathblow is predetermined, any time things get dicey or he gets close to defeat, he will heal himself and fly away.

Yeah honestly Mikleo will be a baby dragon so he'll be less of a challenge than ages-old magic dragons lol

in Zestiria dragons tend to make up for experience with raw power, and he'll be backed up by Sorey the magically corrupted Shepherd, so he'll have some oomph behind him. So at the very least, expect a decent fight :|b

LOL MAGS HATES DRAGONS SO MUCH. I am totally cool with throwing Mags at Mikleo, the only question is how much Mikleo he remains, since Mags does also function off someone's "song" - if he's still kinda sorta mostly Mikleo, Mags will be able to tell.

well, we did some talking about that. technically his soul is still the same, but in Zestiria a dragon transformation is irreversible, and dragons are unable to recognize anyone. They've been thoroughly corrupted by malevolence, which changes them inside out and damages the core of who they are. It's essentially a "death" of the seraph they used to be.

The recent anime ep suggested that some recognition still exists with those they're incredibly close to, but it's barely there at all, and the only thing it'll do is cause the dragon to bail from a fight instead of killing everyone involved. Maglor isn't close enough to Mikleo for that to even factor in.

Mikleo's soul (or song, in this case) will be trapped inside the dragon form, and it'll be badly distorted and damaged beyond repair. Probably like trying to play a song on a broken instrument- no matter how you try, it just sounds wrong.

honestly, obi-wan can retreat if the battle is too much and he would attempt to communicate via the force? (since that's his thing with animals/creatures and he's rather good at it). Probably minor injuries on his side. If there's anything else you'd like to play out, I'm game.

Lol god GOOD LUCK OBI WAN I imagine it'll be a whole lot of incoherent yelling and crying. Becoming a dragon is like a fate worse than death for a seraph so everyone is in for a bad, bad time. He'll basically have lost his mind and all control of himself.

The good news is, if mikleo gets annoyed enough by the weird voice in his head he might opt to retreat rather than continue fighting obi-wan since it would aggravate him a lot.

But okay seriously though-

Allen will be facing off against Sorey when all of this goes down! In the end, he'll finally figure out how to unlock his full power and use them to purify Sorey - but he will need help with fighting/defending against Sorey up until that point. So I would love for some volunteers to help play big damn heroes!

It'd be ideally:

2-3 people. Anymore would probably get too chaotic to thread out sorry!

Characters who can fight (obviously)

Players who will be around around the time of the log (the weekend of 9/10). We can obviously backdate, but it'd be easier if the thread doesn't take 3 months.

Players willing to pass up fighting the dragon (sorry guys!)

Resonance is maybe recommended but not at all needed since Allen's powers give a nice loophole for that.

If you want to have your character fight Sorey on their own or there's already enough volunteers here, they can still do that! This is purely for the endgame fight for Sorey!

He will also be absolutely thrilled to learn there's a way to save this guy rather than kill him so that's a plus. He'll do whatever you need.

Just throwing out an offer for anyone who needs a way out of a fight without anyone dying. It's kinda Vash's "thing" to get people out of/end a fight without anyone dying. So if anyone needs a hand finding a way out of a fight I'll be happy to lend Vash as a solution as he has the skills usually to get himself out of almost any situation.
