It shouldn't be a problem again. One of my crew is a telepath.

[ Therein was part of the problem. Steve hadn't trusted him to handle it, and Peggy had underestimated him, hadn't shot him when it counted. ]

He made sure the Atroma won't be able to do it again.

    Great.

[ Mind-readers like Wanda? Helpful in this case. Sam's not really intending to start keeping out of all the things people can suddenly do now that are coming to light. ]

So we don't have a problem.

Not sure until something comes up, but I trust him.

[ Charles has more than earned his trust, even before the winter soldier's rampage on the Iskaulit. ]

    Oh, plenty.

[But where to even start explaining what.]

You've heard about the augments. You hear about the glitches yet?

    Alexis Castle | Castle

    (A: Pick A Ship!)

[Alexis was feeling the effects of the cramped quarters but as a civilain it was a little more bearable, it felt like her dorm room at times. So she figured put out a feeler video plus if she was being honest she needed to see if anyone from home was here. So cue cute redhead popping onto the video feed.]

Ok, I've joked about going on a reality show but this is not exactly Dancing with the Stars! But in reality I'm curious to see if anyone I know is here so if you're Richard Castle, Kate Beckett, Martha Rogers or anyone from the 8th give me a beep?

[Feel free to notice she's not exactly slept either, she got snagged right when she was kidnapped after all.]
    -----
    [B: Forrest]

[Alexis was happy to escape if only for a little while, the space was badly needed. But she was paranoid over what she was sure was following her.]

I have mace! [She does not have mace, she's a city girl all the way.]
    ----
    [C: Wildcard!]

(Pick a place and she'll reply!)

[OK. Castle was sure he was hearing things at first when he thought his daughter's voice was coming over the network.

But he took a look and- there she was. In the flesh. After not having seen her for... more than a year now.

He might be bouncing up and down a little.]

Nope, nobody here but us chickens. Buck buck buck.

[Cue one very relieved Alexis when she spots her father on the feed.]

Dad! [Of course she giggles over the chickens.] Buck buck buck!

Beyond that fill me in? Because my brain is like a washing machine right about now and that is usually a bad sign with me. [For now she's leaving out the having been kidnapped part unless he asks.]

One could say that there is an elegance to the simplicity.

    [personal profile] thebestseller 2016-10-20 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[Castle blew out a long sigh, forcing himself to calm down, focus, though it was hard. He was both relieved that she was here and not- because he certainly didn't want her stuck here.]

God, I don't even know where to begin, baby. You've heard about the part where we're on a space reality show, right? Some folks called Atroma have whisked us away to their space paradise to entertain their audience. ... that's the story they've told us, anyway.

[Kaidan let out a small awkward laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. When he as caught up in things, his mouth tended to leap a few steps ahead of his brain. It was a problem, though not one he really admitted to]

Well...when it comes to alien planets I try not to leave out any possibilities...but I kind of doubt one.

[He wandered over and placed one armored hand against the side of one of the massive trunks]

What do you suppose they feed these things?

Intensifies their abilities, gives them better endurance... or at least, that's all I've seen here. A previous stop was not so benevolent.

[It's vague, she knows, but she's not going to go into details about Allen and the Noah. Anything else would be a violation of his trust.]

Don't worry, I'm keeping an eye on it.

    [She totally does.]

One could say that. But it would just be an excuse for being boring.

[She giggles, and then twists around suddenly and darts down the branch, jumping off just before it looks like it will break under her weight and just barely making it to the next tree, letting her momentum carry her down it to smack into the trunk with a little grunt.]

[Yes she was grinning pretty much the entire time.]

    [personal profile] mysterygirlcastle 2016-10-21 08:58 am (UTC)(link)
I got that part, sure I've joked for ages about doing reality but this is not ballroom dancing or even remodeling a bathroom!

So we can play piece the puzzle together: what's the last thing you remember dad? At least when it comes to me, grams and Kate. [Alexis was using that to figure out the timelines and see if they were close in terms of memories. It's also biding her time to figure out how to explain the whole having just been kidnapped factor.]

(ooc: Mid S5 canon wise, around the time of "Target/Hunt")

Can't say I've been on many alien planets to know. I'll just take your word for it.

[Facilier would honestly like to take some of the bark and see what it would do. Maybe he can concoct something interesting with it. Never know if you don't try.

    He chuckles, deep and low.

You see this in any hospital where I'm from.

[Not the space part, but most of the medical equipment, while a little more advanced, is not entirely unusual to him.]

So what exactly do you have at home, Peter Pan?

((got it o7 He's episode 2 of season 6 here, so he thinks he's dead. Oops.))

Nah, this is more of a "watch us go about our daily lives" deal. Like Big Brother, except voting off is a lot more random. Fun!

Well... Kate and I were in D.C., helping the Feds with the Dreamworld case. Last thing I remember was blacking out.

[ He raises an eyebrow - she's brought up a possibility he hadn't considered: ] There are monsters that could do that where you come from? ...On my world, the most likely cause of something like this would be a Summon Spirit that needed help from someone strong enough to sense it.
    experiencepoints: (pic#6944669)

    [personal profile] experiencepoints 2016-10-22 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know if there any that do that, but I know there are some that could. The theory doesn't seem too complicated- Hell, give me a week to work and I could probably replicate this effect, if not its strength.

    [She waves a hand dismissively.]

I doubt it. Summons want to be found, it's part of their trials to make sure you're good enough. The ones in my world wouldn't broadcast their location like that, anyway. ... Though the existence of the Internet's kind of screwed that part over.

If it is a Summon, though, I'm running the hell away.
cloakand_danger: (discuss ϟ who had it made)

    [personal profile] cloakand_danger 2016-10-22 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
    [ And that's just confusing. ]

...Why? They're not dangerous unless you're interfering with something important - even if you fail at making a pact, they'll let you walk away after you're beaten. [ He shakes his head. ] ...Different worlds, I guess.

Whatever it is, it's deeper in the woods than I'm comfortable going without a front-line fighter. I don't suppose you know where I could get a sword.
experiencepoints: (Ai no supeakingu Engurish desu.)

    [personal profile] experiencepoints 2016-10-22 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
... Seriously? Your world's versions sound a lot nicer. You have to beat them in order to become able to summon them, and they come at you with intent to kill. And they way outmatch me.

I agree with you there. A tank of some kind is necessary, but unless it's on the waystation, I have no ideas. I can't even equip swords.
cloakand_danger: (talk ϟ that this world has forgotten)

    [personal profile] cloakand_danger 2016-10-22 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
You still have to beat them to make a summoning pact, of course, but they only attack if you ask them for one. They're guardians, not monsters. If you just go to their temples, most of them are perfectly willing to talk. [ When they're awake, anyway, but. Details. ]

I guess it can't be helped for now.
