Got someone you want to try out before you app? Well this is the post for it! Feel free to use anything that fits in the setting of Drift Fleet! Want to play bumper shuttles? Want to go wild in a med bay? Play around with the current plot? Have at it!

Threads from the Test-Drive may be made game "canon" but DO NOT count toward AC!

FOR NEW PLAYERS: You DO NOT NEED an invite to participate in the TEST DRIVE! If you decide to APP into the game, ONLY THEN will you need an invite from a current player!

[Beverly, that dumb grin is Not Helping. McCoy runs a hand over his face and snorts. Infamous, huh? Somehow, he can believe that.]

[Yes, infamous. Just ask any temporal investigators. Though she rather has the suspicion this Kirk will prove to be much less cavalier about time travel.

She huffs out a small laugh, then looks up at the canopy, trying to get a gauge on what time of day it is, since, of course, her tricorder is proving just as useless as it had on the last planet like this.]

Though I do have to agree with you here - [She looks back at Bones] We ought to get back before sunset, especially on a planet like this one.

[Wait, did she just agree? He's not used to that. He's all set start arguing, start pointing out all the reasons they shouldn't keep going, even has his mouth open to start doing just that... and she just out and out agrees.

It throws him, just a little. It takes a moment to answer, because he has to switch gears completely.]

Beauty and brains. I'm not sure my heart can take it. [Look, sometimes he's almost as bad as Kirk.] I'll leave the exploring to the explorers. Someone's gotta patch 'em up when they're done poking things that bite back.

What made you decide to join Starfleet, then, if not to explore?

[Well, that's a loaded question, Beverly. Yeah, he's got some explorer in him. He wouldn't be out there otherwise, ex-wife chasing him off the planet or not. (Okay, it took more than one woman to drive him off of earth, but... that's his story and he's sticking to it.)

He shrugs, hands deep in the pockets of his jacket.] Sometimes I do like a challenge.

[He raises a brow at her then.] And don't you go tellin' anyone that. I'd never hear the end of it.
