[ The words come out bitterly, and Silvana shifts, rubbing her hand against the aching side of her body - throwing herself against the walls and doors hadn't helped, even though usually it might have been more than enough. Without her dragon here and with nothing to suggest that her partner was around she felt weaker and less able, somewhat... Broken and lost, something in her very mind missing.
She wanted to stamp down on the device she'd been given, and she wanted to snap it in half with her hands. There are no weapons here - her sword has been taken away and there's nothing that she has but her fists to defend herself - and she's on edge from it.
Looking over, she gives the other woman an equally twisting scowl before she huffs a noise and flops back. ]
I'm familiar with breaking down doors. I'm not myself.

Light eyes looked to the door that wouldn't budge and nodded to it.]
It is no simple wooden thing, it seems built like a fortress. And seeing as you are no battering ram, I'm not surprised you couldn't get through.
[She pauses, her hands aching to hold her twin daggers and feel at least a fraction safer than she did now.]
They're aiming to make us feel helpless.
[She just wished she could claim it wasn't working.]

She doesn't like this, and the tension rolls over her before she snaps her head back to her companion. ]
Wood or metal, neither matters. I have done it before.
[ Turning back, she looks at her companion, glancing at her up and down before she huffs a noise. ]
I am helpless. My dragon is gone.

You are only helpless if you allow yourself to be. I don't know how you 'have' a dragon, but it can't be all the strength you have.
[No one threw themselves against a door like that and could be called weak.]
Have you tried using something other than your shoulder to get out?
no subject
She is my partner. I have her strength, her mind and her eyes. I am unused to having my own power without hers to share it with me.
[ She feels helpless, in a way she hasn't for a long time. She has to wrap her mind around the sudden loss of her strength, and she purses her lips before she leans forward, gathering herself. ]
They have taken my sword and my daggers. There is nothing on the door for me to pick.

That last bit, however, she completely understood.]
We are in the same situation there, they took mine as well.
[She looked around and went to one of the walls to run her hands lightly over the strange seams in it.]
Maybe there's a weakness.
I won't sit idly by and wait for something else to determine my fate.

Huffing an angry noise, she shifts forward. ]
I'll destroy them.
[ As soon as she can get her hands on them, of course. Shifting, she pushes herself up and moves over, dropping to one knee by the door. ]
There are no traps here, at least. I examined the room.

[It was a more productive attitude for sure and she didn't feel like playing caretaker for someone's hopelessness right now anyway. Motivating was kinder for them both.]
They think they don't need them. Perhaps they think we wouldn't bother trying to find a way out or perhaps they think we simply aren't clever enough for it.
Their mistake.
[As much as she believed her own words, finding something to actually work on would make her feel better.]

[ Silvana is used to people not thinking she was enough; before she had left on her journey she had been prepared for her entire village to think of her as a failure, a black name upon their records. She had come back a success, true, but... It had come with a price.
Now she shifts forward, running her fingers along the edge of the door, frowning a little before she huffs an irritated noise. ]
They will have upset a dragon. I would not wish that on anyone.
no subject
[She says it simply. Normally, she wouldn't wish a dragon's rage on anyone either, she has scars from the times she'd pissed off a couple herself. But, normally, she wasn't being kidnapped far far away from her friends with no hope of seeing them. For some reason that part just pissed her right off.]
What about that?
[She points to a little square panel next to the door, set into the wall and fairly inconspicuous, but it was something.]
