[Sirius finished off the strip hastily once the first bite made it down his throat without fuss. He was getting full, years of light eating had cropped his appetite out of necessity, but it was tasty and this man was clearly trustworthy enough.

The dog slowly took a step closer to the man and then another, before closing the distance between them to press his nose to the back of the man's hand...and maybe give it a small lick.]

[He doesn't squeal outright, but there is definitely a happy noise that's made in the back of Adalwolfe's throat. With one hand he offers the skewer and with the other he tentatively makes to scratch between the dog's ears, feeling the soft fur between his fingers with the same pleasure one might get out of a good glass of wine or a bubble bath. Nothing is hardly as relaxing to Adalwolfe as petting a dog.]

[He takes a bite from the skewer, but leans into the hand scratching between his ears. There really wasn't anything better than a good ear scratch.

His leaning results in him resting his chin on the man's knee, leaving approximately half of the skewer behind as he elected to enjoy the contact instead.]

[All coherent thought empties Wolfe's head, instead just repeating "puppy puppy puppy PUPPY!" over and over in a childish voice as he scratches a bit harder, then moves his fingers to find where the big black dog's leg will get going.]

[He can't help but laugh to himself over how this man devolved so quickly. This was what made this form so perfect for hiding: if people didn't ignore the dog, they turned into silly affectionate messes that would let him eat out of their hand.

He enjoyed the scratching and gave the man the reaction he was looking for, but it was soon time to move on, he could hardly stay here all day or let the thought that Padfoot might be adoptable enter the stranger's head.

He backed out of the man's reach and shook himself off before offering a 'boof' of thanks.]

[Oh no he BOOFED!!!

Wolfe stays where he knows, knowing dogs enough to know that if he were to make to follow or try and get the canine to stay, he'd be met with at least a warning growl and at most teeth. The fluffball seems to be getting on alright anyway, not emaciated like some of the animals in Lowtown.]

We're even for the scratch.
