Robb hadn't, after all. Neither had Steve. She had stopped trying in the end.
Slowly, though, she approaches with careful steps, hovering at his side before he turns to speak to her as if he'd known she was there the whole time. ]
As long as you're sure he wouldn't get bored.

[He smiles as he turns, not letting the slight jolt of unprepared panic flash across his face. He thought he was talking to someone completely random, not someone he'd... well not been avoiding in the strictest sense, but wasn't certain yet that he'd prepared himself for seeing again. He's taken a beating this time, having been gone for what he thought was maybe a week and finding out it had been bloody months. He doesn't feel right about it either. He has no recollection of the time but it definitely felt gone. Not here. Its disconcerting.
What's more disconcerting is that Atroma could turn around and do it all over again if it suited them. Tear him away from the family he's found for some indeterminate amount of time or even for good. It hurts and he's been through it enough times to know it will continue to hurt just in its inevitability.
But that's not Hermione's fault, and he is glad to see her. So he smiles a genuine smile and stands facing her.]
Aren't you a sight for sore eyes.

[ It's been a little too long, she thinks, and her heart is beating just a little bit too fast in her chest. She's glad, in a way, that he's coming back now rather than before; he doesn't have to deal with calibrations, with seeing her past play out in front of him like a movie in a cinema, seeing all the things she hates about herself in full colour and momentum. Instead he sees her as he remembers, and that's something soothing that rests against her rattled nerves.
At least he remembers her. It makes her feel a thousand times better. ]
It's good to see you again.
[ A part of her wants to cry, she thinks, or throw herself into his arms, because she had missed him, but it's ben just long enough that she's not sure what's appropriate anymore, that a line might have been drawn between them. Instead she moves closer, tilting her head and giving him a gentle, fond smile. ]
Are you going to get him?

Maybe when I've earned some coin. Apparently any funds I had haven't carried over.
[Which still feels weird considering his last memories before waking up on the Marsiva again are going to bed on the Twin Roses. It should only have been days, at best.]
How have you been? Apparently I missed a great deal.

He's not too expensive, is he? I wouldn't mind...
[ After calibrations she has more money than she knows what to do with, and using it on a friend would be more than welcome. All the same... She shifts awkwardly. ]
I've been the same, mostly. Nothing too exciting happens to me, you know.
