I can sympathize with at least parts of that, depending upon the party. [ Dorian is a party. ]

So long as the spirits are decent and flowing, it makes up for poor conditions otherwise. [ SO GLAD... It's not like pulling teeth at all. ] I take it you'd much rather stay in your quarters.

It does not make up for it when it's loud and obnoxious, no. [This is his life now, this is the choice he made. ] And I would. Or at least on my ship, away from all the noise. Not everyone enjoys a ruckus.
