[Alphinaud can generally navigate crowds well after being stuck in Ishgard for months, but the cacophony of this place and its loud citizens still serve to disorient him. One guy carrying a huge crate actually bumps into him, and he sends Alphinaud stumbling. At that point there's just too much momentum for him and he--

-- goes tripping right into Snow. Of course, being four foot something and light as a feather, he bounces off. But it's still embarrassing. There goes his sketchbook with all its sketchy architecture for the world to see, and Alphinaud with it, sprawling ungracefully on his stomach.

... The drawings are rather good, but that's beside the point. The Elezen is quick to apologize as he gets to his feet again.]

Sorry, sorry! My-- deepest apologies.

[When someone bumps into Snow, he's knocked out of his daze and he looks around to find out what's going on. And then there's a boy on the ground and a notebook—no, scratch that, a sketchbook—not that far.

Snow leans over and picks it up before lending a hand to the boy to help him back up.]

Don't worry about it. No damage done, but you might want to watch where you're going from now on.

[His cheeks are flushed as he takes his sketchbook back gratefully. He hasn't seen a Hyur this big in about two days-- thanks Raubahn-- but he's glad Snow isn't as rude as the guy who knocked him over in the first place. He dusts himself off with a huff.]

One of the porters jostled me and of course he is gone. What I would give to be just a few ilms taller, so I was not as a flower before a wagon wheel.

[Maybe then he'd at least come up to someone's waist.]

[Wow, excuse you. Whatever that word is he most certainly is not that. He is a human, for the most part. But no, he's not rude. Not really. Not intentionally, unless you happen to be some obnoxious god who has no consideration for others.]

I knew a guy like you. Smaller than the others and usually jostled around by people. Of course, he was pretty spunky and didn't let that stop him.

[Of course, Hope also attempted to kill him at one point, but that's an old story for another person to tell. One he's only a bit player in.]

Dunno about overwhelming. Just...seems sort of familiar.
