But that doesn't matter. Suddenly, Anders seems upset, and Justice isn't sure why. Did he say something wrong?
Justice's voice softens. The change wouldn't be much by most people's standards, but for Justice, it shows his concern and care for Anders' sake.]
Your... each mortal has a presence I can feel. Yours has changed. [It's an inadequate explanation of how he can sense people, how distinct each mortal's humming is and how it's easier to recognize mortals from that than it is to recognize their face.]

With all of them gone. All but Justice, the only one who couldn't have been sent away from Anders simply from the fact he wasn't a true Warden, but simply there on his own terms. Anders had been singled out and isolated as each of their friends were sent on various other missions, and Justice had been the only wall to his back. He'd been a comfort Anders hadn't expected, a true friend when Anders asked for nothing from him except maybe to stop talking about how it was his 'duty' to help the other mages. Maker, he could practically laugh at the memory now.
But that concern made him feel guilt for even lying to his friend and especially what he ended up doing to him. What had nearly happened...No. Maker, he couldn't find out.]
People change, Justice, it's just one of those mortal-things you'll have to get used to.

[He's making Anders uncomfortable with all this concern, he realizes belatedly. That's not the effect he's looking for, but he doesn't know how else to express himself. He also doesn't know how to conceal his concern, because concealing his feelings is not a thing he has much experience doing.
He tries to tell himself that Anders is right, that it's just a natural change. Maybe it is. Maybe Justice just needs to wait a while and it'll happen to other mortals too. (But it didn't happen to Riona. Doubt gnaws the back of his head.)]
It is good that you are helping others so readily now. [He's not sure if all the change is good, but that is a good change. He is trying to make Anders less uncomfortable. 'Trying' being the operative word.] Your magic can do much good. Are there Templars here? [He hasn't found anyone with blood that sings like lyrium, which is generally a sign of a Templar, but he hasn't met everyone. Even issues of magic and mages aside, Justice is not a huge fan of Templars, since they are the most likely to call him a demon and want him dead. He's seen this even among the Orlesian Wardens.]
