Mm. You've heard of them? [ He would honestly be surprised? From what he's seen so far, it doesn't look like there are many from Thedas around. ]

[ Then, he tries to... bow? Which, considering his current position leaning into Dorian, results in him just kind of nodding his head and arching forward. Or maybe he did that on purpose now, unhindered, so he could get close enough to try and reach for one of Dorian's hands. Is he going to kiss it? You bet your ass he is. ]

I am familiar with one of them. You will find that to be a common thing within the fleet. Especially those of us from Thedas. There are events in common, though timelines are a bit..skewed.

[ Was he absolutely about to explain his theories on what sort of time magic this resembles? Absolutely he was. This just keeps getting better and better.. Dorian lets things go to see just what Rowan will do, and as much as he's taken by surprised, he is so charmed. ]

[ He'll get his chance if he wants it, because despite being hilariously drunk Rowan is still aware enough to hear what he's saying. Granted, it takes him a few seconds longer than it would normally, but that's what you get when you poison yourself with alcohol.

He kisses Dorian's knuckles with a smirk, letting his hand linger for a moment as he lifts his head back up to look the mage in the eyes. Something he said before hits him after a moment. ]

One of them? Who? [ Someone from his family is here? ??? Explain. ]

[fantachetic]

[ Maker, don't get him to start, he won't shut up. Or perhaps Rowan does want Dorian to run his mouth incessantly. He's very good at that. He does take his hand back, moving to pick his drink up again. ]

Her name is Riona, we are on the same ship.

[trudge]

Riona? [ There's a faint trace of disappointment in his tone, if only because the name doesn't ring a bell. Maybe a cousin? He's too drunk for this. ] Can't say I've heard of her. Do you think you could convince her to come talk to me?

[ a beat. ] When I'm sober, preferably.

[fantachetic]

I am rather persuasive. I'm certain she may do it of her own accord, however.

[ There, there, drunk man. ]

[trudge]

Good to know. I'll be on the lookout. [ For...?? someone that looks like they belong in his family??? Don't talk to him about logistics right now. ]

So, from the way you said it earlier, it sounds as if there are more than a few of us from Thedas around.

Quite a few, actually. Let's see.. There is myself, and now you. There is a spirit from the Fade, a grey warden whom we discussed previously, two Inquisitors, two Champions of Kirkwall, and an elf from Tevinter with rather impressive tattoos. You'll have to forgive me if I've forgotten anyone. Hearing it is rather an exhausting affair.

[trudge]

The 'viewers' must love us! [ Either that or Atroma or whatever is super rude and biased? Whatever the case, Rowan seems interested. ]

...Wait. There's a Fade spirit here? No one — Everyone is fine with that?

[fantachetic]

Certainly. We are all here in the same situation, are we not? He's not so bad. A bit odd, but interesting.

[trudge]

[ A pause. Then, Rowan just shrugs and reaches for a tankard on a platter going by. If the barmaid notices, he has no idea. ] Fair enough, I suppose. So long as he isn't causing any trouble.

[ He waves his hand vaguely. ] So do you... like it here? In space?

[fantachetic]

It's not completely horrid, I will admit. [ He finishes off his drink and orders another like a civilized human being!!! ]

It could be a bit warmer, but that can be said about the South, as well.

[trudge]

[ Wow you think you're so much better than him, don't you?! Well... you're right. ]

Oh, it's not that cold. Most of the time. [ Ferelden sucks don't even lie. ] Where are you from anyway?

[fantachetic]

[ He thinks he's better than most people. Or at least he pretends he does. ]

It is miserable most of the time. [ Oh. ] Tevinter. Yes, I know. Scandalous.

[trudge]

Tevinter? [ Oh, that is scandalous! ] Oh, let me guess! You're a ... [ He pretends to think on it. Deep thinking. So deep. Also, he needs to take a drink so give him a second. ] A mage.

[fantachetic]

Alas, my cover has been thwarted. [ He puts the back of his hand to his forehead. ]

[trudge]

[ Rowan leans in, voice low, a hand moving to Dorian's back. You know, just in case he faints. Or Rowan faints. Who knows. ]

Fear not. Your secret is safe with me.

[fantachetic]

Rather a poorly-kept secret. [ Just going to take a long drink of ale, don't mind him. ]

[trudge]

There's worse things to be. [ He grins. ] You could be an ugly Tevinter mage.

[fantachetic]

Perish the thought! [ He would rather die. ]

[trudge]

[ He puts a hand on Dorian's shoulder. ] Don't worry. You're by far the most handsome Tevinter mage I have ever seen. I swear it.

[fantachetic]

[ That gets a laugh out of him. ] I certainly try. You're not so hard on the eyes, yourself.

[trudge]

And you haven't even seen the best part yet. [ WINK. ]
