Not that that's bad in the Seraph's opinion.
And she watches the girl with cat. It's a black cat, which is just a cat. But these superstitious morons think that anything different is either a good or bad omen. Edna is just glad that most can't see or hear her. She has no desire to deal with any of them without Sorey or Alisha around to be her buffer. She follows the girl for a few moments before she decides to speak up.]
I wouldn't worry about these stupid humans. Everything different here is "bad" to them.

Yeul has always had an affection for animals and has always wanted the chance to take care of one. Caius had forbid her from adopting a baby Behemoth she had found and had killed it. She can't fault him for the decision though it does make her a little sad. The creature would have eventually grown too large for Yeul to care for, that's what Caius had told her. She wonders how big kittens grow too and if she is allowed to bring it back to the ship with her.
She pauses when the voice speaks to her, turning her vibrant green eyes towards the Seraph.]
What makes it bad? [Her voice is soft, distant but filled with innocent curiosity.]
no subject
Nothing. They just don't like the color. They say it's bad luck. [She scoffs derisively.] Of course, they think everything here is based on good and bad luck.
They're all idiots.

Then I will be its friend. [They were both bad luck and they could keep each other company.]
You are not afraid?
no subject
Why should I be afraid? I'm not bad luck. In fact, I'm an Earth Seraph. If anything, I bring good luck.
no subject
Would luck cancel out or jump between good and bad? [Her voice is soft as the thought passes her lips.] I do not believe in luck. Luck does not change the future.
[She looks up at Edna with an unflinching gaze.]
Would they let me take the kitten on the ship?
no subject
Do I look like a luck guru? Besides, it's all garbage in the long run anyway. Relying on luck is like relying on the weather. Stupid and fickle.
[And neither of those are things she approves of.]
Who cares? You live on the ships as much as the rest of us. Take it, but then it's your responsibility to feed it and clean up after it. No one's going to do it for you.
[Especially not Edna.]
