[ 01. Voicepost from the Marsiva (or action if you're another newbie)]

Hey everyone, Bulma here.

[ This is obviously not her first time contacting everyone in her short stay aboard the Marsiva. ]

I've got a question.

[ She pauses and the sound of her moving the growing pile of garbage on her bunk can be heard. It's so easy to slip back into old slovenly ways in space. ]

If this is some TV show, and we're all stars, where're all the fans? Like, I know we're in space and all, but there are ways to get fan mail anywhere! I haven't seen one thing so far, has anyone else?

[ She doubts it. Even though she's sitting in her underwear among the remains of her last several meals and snacks, she still knows she's an interstellar beauty that people can't help but love. She should definitely have some fan correspondence by now. ]

[ 02. Fortune telling aftermath! ]

[ Bulma's belief in the supernatural is... Complicated. Sure, she's a famous scientist, but she also comes from a world where summoning a magical wish granting dragon is pretty standard, so of course she's going to take her fortune telling experience at least a little seriously.

And that's why, once the palm reading is finished, she's out on the sidewalk in tears. ]

How dare that hag! Telling me my love line is all used up and ended! What does she know about love?! [ She leans back toward the shop's door. ] You hear me in there? You probably can't even pay someone to date you!

[ Even though she hasn't mentioned it much, she's been holding out for a big daring rescue led by her husband and friends. That was one of the things that's kept her from getting too down. And then that third-rate fortune mangling hack tried to ruin all of it. But, you know what they say (maybe?), get mad instead of sad!

She clenches her teeth, and with tears still streaming, she let's out a frustrated cry and kicks the fortune tellers sign over.

That's when concerned citizens turn to stare at her like she's some kind of plague, and she takes off running down the street, probably eventually barreling right into someone. ]

[ 03. Nightlife! ]

[ Getting out for some fun is just the thing Bulma needs after the fortune telling debacle, so here she is seated at a rather nice looking night club. She's got a fancy looking and half finished drink beside her, and it's really helping her sour mood... For the most part.

It's still not totally fun when you're alone, so to remedy that she grabs the next person who tries to walk by and pushes him or her into the seat next to her. ]

Ah? Fan mail?

[Chuuya hadn't thought of that before, but it was a good question. Some people received things from sponsors, why not fans too?]

Never got a single thing. It can't be from a lack of fans, I'm sure of that.

[Damn right he's sure he has adoring fans out there watching him and his cool moves!]

People have gotten weird stuff from sponsors, but that's about it. Guess I never really thought about getting stuff from fans, but now I gotta know what's up with that too.

[ Sponsors, hm? She's gonna have to put that on the back burner because it sounds interesting. ]

I'm thinking the same thing! I know I haven't been here long, but I just know I already have fans.

[ Flirtatious wink at a non-existent camera? Who cares if her conversation partner can't see her? It's happening. ]

There isn't even anyone on this dumb ship to complain to about it! I bet all our fan mail is being mismanaged by... Whoever runs all this.

Heh, there can be a gathering.

[As much as he may be saying he wants fan mail, it won't be a priority. But the thought of this sort of thing is fun.]

If we've noticed this, there's sure to be others who have as well. They'll probably want in on it. The more people we have on our side, the better chances we have at making this work out in our favor!

Yeah, I bet! We should all get together and demand our fan mail when I get off this damn ship.

[ She doesn't yet know it won't get much better than the hospitality deck. ]

And if they don't comply, we can strike! I mean, truth be told, I never agreed to be on some stupid reality show anyway.

[ Even though that's the one part of this whole situation she wasn't bothered by. ]

[Chuuya laughs. Getting off this ship, haaa!]

I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as far as I know, we aren't getting off any ship in the near future. If ever.

[Well, he can't say for sure it won't ever happen...]

I mean, a couple of my crew members have left, but I can't say for sure where they went. Who knows if they got sucked into a black hole!

[ That definitely gives her a laugh, please hold Chuchu while she takes a moment to bask in her own greatness. ]

Well that's just because none of them were Earth's number one top scientist! I've been taking ships apart since I could barely walk, I think I can handle these rusty old buckets!

[ Nevermind the fact that she hasn't done anything yet. ]

I get what you're saying, but you're not the only top scientist. There are others from different worlds too!

Whoa!

[He'd been mind his own business perfectly fine and then all of a sudden there'd been a hand out of the darkness, yanking Commander Shepard off balance and into the chair he'd been passing.

Luckily, nothing in this entire place had been a real threat outside of the fortune tellers trying to tell him how doomed his love life was and how full of missed opportunities his past was -a true terror- so he didn't feel threatened by this sudden 'assault' just startled...and a little confused.]

Well, it's more like I can help you. Because today is your lucky day! You get to keep a beautiful woman company at a nice club.

[ Yeah, this seems to be going well. At least he only seems surprised so far and not horrified or something. ]

[Well, he had heard worse propositions before. Besides, she seemed nice enough and he was pretty sure he'd seen her around the Fleet before.]

Sounds like a better plan than anything else I had going on, just don't ask me to dance and we'll be good.

[He flagged the waiter down and ordered whatever beer the bar had that sounded interesting and signaled for him to grab another of whatever his companion was drinking before turning back to her.]

[ Ordering her another drink and everything. It's been a pretty long damn time since she's gotten that kind of treatment. ]

As fun as guessing would be, the name's Bulma. Bulma Brief.

[ She'll just sit back, smiling, and waiting for the inevitable shock and disbelief. Surely she's famous across the entire universe by now, and he'll definitely be starstruck. ~~ego obliteration in 3... 2...~~ ]

Yeah...glad you didn't make me guess, I don't think I would have gotten that.

[Sorry, were you expecting recognition? Cause he's just gonna...take a drink. And definitely not say anything along those lines, sorry Bulma. It's okay, though, here's your chance to do literally the same to him.]

[ MENTAL SIGH. Of course, it's too much to expect anyone to recognize here way out here...

It's not all bad though, his title does sound interesting at least, even if she doesn't recognize the name. ]

[ She plucks her new drink from the bar, and settles in with it. ]

[WELL he doesn't usually get asked that. Honestly, though, it's just as much a relief as it is unsettling. After the entire universe expects you to save them, a little anonymity is a breath of fresh air.]

Whoa! [It was normally Remy who would 'accidentally' brush past or knock into someone, a perfect way to distract while he lifted a person's wallet or accepted currency from their pockets. Less so having people running into him. The force stumbled him back a step or two before he regained his balance and figure out what had hit him.

Which seemed to be a rather upset woman.] Ah, cherie, what wrong? [An note of concern and sympathy entering his tone as his mind immediately going to serious. It just came with the territory, between jumping between life threatening events back home, and a mess that planet hopping could cause.]

[ Bulma breaks off before her berating can really get started. Not because she realizes she's the one who ran into him or anything, but because she finally gets the full picture here. That accent, those muscles. "Cherie". Pretty dreamy, if she does say so herself.

Sure sure. She's married, and maybe a little (hah.) too old for him, but looking's not a crime! Especially since her husband is probably about 27 galaxies away. ]

Oh, um! I mean, I was just... Out for a jog! Definitely not running from any fake fortune telling hag or anything!

[Despite that starting shout from her, all it gained at first was for him to raise his brows above his sunglasses, not at all put off by it. He was rather use to angry and loud women in his life.

That and it was quickly pushed aside instead for a smile. Ok, so her reaction fed his ego a little, and he could almost hear Rogue's voice in the back of his mind telling him to not get too big a head over it, resulting in a chuckle more to himself than Bulma, though it worked in well with her answer.]

Ahh, [He brushed it aside with a shrug of a shoulder.] Can't take them too seriously, non? Just tryin' to either push what people want to hear so they keep feedin' them money, or cause drama to pull in others who might hear them. [He was guessing it was the second one, considering her reaction.] Plus, no fun leavin' it up to others to tell ya what ya future may hold, better to make it yaself, hein?

I guess you're right. I'm probably just more used to fortune telling back home. I've seen it come true there.

[ To be honest, she's already forgetting what she was so mad about in the first place. She steps just a little closer to Remmy, putting on her most charming smile. ]

So what's a guy like you doing on a nice day like this?

Know what ya mean, but always got people 'round tryin' to make money of those who can actually do what they say. [Remy was from New Orleans, his city was built with magic and the supernatural woven through it, and he was more than use to picking out what was real and what was not.

A topic quickly pushed aside with that little step forward and that smile Bulma leveled at him, it bringing out his own, well practiced and charming smile.] Moi? Well, [He drawled out.] If 'm bein' honest, up to no good. But that all depends who's askin'.

[ What a smooth talker. She really can't believe how charming he is about it though. Then again, she mostly has Vegeta and Yamcha for comparison, and they probably couldn't figure out how to properly treat a woman even if they were given a hundred years to train. ]
