Maggie Rhee | The Walking Dead (reapp with game memories)
Shopping
Maggie had been in places like this before. Once the memories of the Goldstone and her crew had come back to her, everything fell into place. She stopped to look at the ornate looking weapons, weighing a knife in her hand before setting it down again. She didn't want the temptation to snatch it up, as old habits died hard, to get her unwanted attention. For now, she keeps her hands in her pockets, drifting from display to display and then store to store.
Stopping for food, Maggie finds a particularly colorful and unrecognizable fruit. Passing some currency the shopkeep's way, she walks off with it in no time and takes a bite as she does. It was strange having the memories of being with child and none of the physical needs that came with it anymore. The Atroma had saw fit to rid her of any signs of life growing inside her yet again.
"Wonder who else is here..." she mumbles to herself, searching people's faces as they passed looking for anyone familiar - a child with a thousand watt smile and dark hair, a taller boy with a disfigured face covered by bandages and a girl at his side. She wondered if Takashi, Carl, and Enid were still in the fleet - who else had gone like her? She didn't have the chance to know upon her return.
Recreation
After a day of exploring everything from the hiking trails to the food stalls, Maggie found herself seated outside as the stars splashed across the sky above. It had been a long time since she'd actually stopped to enjoy it. She couldn't remember the last time that had been. Everything felt twisted up inside after Glenn had died and it made it worse when she'd woken up in the fleet remembering it.
Sighing, Maggie pushes the thought down, wiping at her eyes that suddenly felt raw and ready to tear up. She needed to make the most of this, she knew. Gather supplies, maps, and whatever else her ship would need. All she could do was sit and watch the stars.
[ooc: Feel free to recognize Maggie if you're some of her old cr from last time I was here OR if you're not old cr we can hash out some new cr either during a hiking exploration or browsing the food stalls or stargazing!]
Closed to Snow
Maggie perks up at the mention of the Red Fish. If Carl was still here, was he still aboard the Red Fish? She needed to find him and the best way to do that was one of his crewmates. It was enough time for him to pay for the knife.
"Wha- you didn't have to do that." Well, it was a good thing someone did, at least. She didn't have her money left over from her last visit here. Her funds were somewhat empty at the moment. But back to her original thought - "You said you're a Security Officer for the Red Fish. Is there a boy named Carl Grimes on that ship?"
She needed to know, to find him.
Closed to Enid
Losing Glenn had been the worst thing to happen to her since Beth, since her father had died. She remembered that day with perfect clarity, the dizzying pain that had erupted throughout her body, dropping her to her knees in front of a terrified Enid. She remembered the ride in the camper, the road being blocked off, and then finally night coming over them in the worst way possible. Abraham and Glenn died before their eyes and all she could do was sob and stand there and will her body to move, to prepare for the war she would bring to Negan and men of his ilk.
"I'm back," she spoke finally, hugging Enid with all her strength. Her voice sounded froggy, choked up by emotion. She was tired of losing people. She was tired of being helpless to stop it. But now she had Enid to look after and damned if she'd be separated from her again, even if in her mind she hadn't been recently. Finally, she pulls back to get a look at her and Glenn's would be daughter, running her fingers through the girl's long hair as she looks her over to reaffirm in her mind that she's real and that she's safe and sound.
"How long was I gone?"
It'll be okay. We aren't going to kick you out.
"Let's just say I wanted to help out a new friend." Because he's that kind of guy. Always has been. "Yeah, Carl's still there, if you're talking about the kid with the eyepatch. Taking you're not exactly brand new here then?"
Because Carl wasn't exactly the absolute most social sort of person. Not that Snow has room to talk.

"Yeah, that's him. Carl and I are from the same place and - to answer your question - no, I'm not new. I don't know how long I've been gone but I used to be the First Mate of the Goldstone before I left. Do you know if any of the rest of that crew returned either?" She was interested to know how everyone was and whether Takeshi was holding his own as he always tried to do. He tried so hard to prove himself capable despite his age. Not many could take a child seriously but he'd impressed her and made her want to protect him and support him.

"'Fraid I don't know anyone on that ship. Just the Red Fish and Blue Fish. Still trying to get my bearings."
no subject
"It's fine. I was just curious. I'm sure someone else can tell me, or I find someone from the ship and they tell me." While they're on the subject of knowing people in the fleet, she can't help but stop and size him up a bit. "I can see why you're a security officer though - bulky an' all that. You look like you could handle yourself just fine."
And she'd found that somewhat rare in the fleet, but there were rare exceptions of people who had far too much experience fighting for their lives. One might find it peculiar that she would even think that way - that fighting for her life was a thought that even crossed her mind in the midst of their deep space adventures. She had far too much lif eexperience in such things that it came second nature to her by now.

He just hates people, evidently. Nah, that's the reason. He just hates himself. Yes, that's what it is.
"And I suppose the Atroma thought it would be better suited to make me security instead of cheer captain. I think I'd fail that spectacularly."
Sadly, that didn't used to be the case...

Shopping!
Actually... he really kind of wanted to get the whole team gifts, but had no clue where to even start. He was staring rather blankly at a display rack when he heard someone mumbling behind him. The voice sounded familiar... like someone he had heard on the network before he and all of Team Voltron had gone missing for a week. Well, apparently Hunk had remained, which was odd, but they still all seemed to have the same new memories.
He turned, watching the woman for a moment. She had to be with the Fleet.
"Who were you looking for?" he asked. Sure, Keith... just butt into her thoughts like that. Why not?
no subject
"I was... looking for anyone familiar, I guess." She still stares at him, not quite sure she'd heard his voice correctly. It wasn't abnormal she might imagine someone to be Glenn, having so recently lost him. Still, this was a kid and he looked nothing like him.
no subject
"Well, were you here before?" he asked. "Or do you mean someone from home specifically?"
Why was she staring at him like that? It was almost the same look that Rick had given him in the gym...
clearly there is something on your face, Keith :P
"What ship are you on?" Better to start with easy questions, get to know the kid a bit. He didn't seem to be bad at all.
Is THAT what it is? Geeze... why didn't Rick just SAY something? LOL
"I'm on the Huntress," he said. "I'm the pilot. Been here a few months now, I guess." He looked thoughtful, and then sighed. "A few of us from home are here." All of Voltron...
no subject
"That's good. It's good to have familiar faces here. Makes it less lonely if you end up here a while. I saw a few come and go from home. I think someone must still be here - dunno if you'd know him or not." Carl kept to himself, just as she did. For her at least, it was hard to get close to people when you expected them to disappear. Yet Takeshi she'd wanted to look out for and she had only barely felt herself opening up to her crew. Who knew how many of them had gone afters she left?
no subject
"I'm sure you'll find something. Maybe you'll end up in the same spot again." He shrugged.
"I might. I've met a few people... or, even if I don't, one of my friends might." Actually, Keith was surprised at just how many people he actually knew in the Fleet. He was usually so introverted, but he'd been doing pretty well at actually making connections... and even... friends.
no subject
"Well - if you see a kid around wearing a sherriff's hat and an eyepatch, that's Carl. We're from the same place. He's about your age too." Keith could do whatever he liked with that information too. Maybe even make a new friend.

"Actually, more than you might think," he then said in reference to the pilot thing. "I was training to be a space shuttle pilot back home. We were getting ready to start regular missions all the way out to Pluto and its moon. After that, probably beyond the edge of the solar system."
