• You are stuck under a random mistletoe.
• There is a note on said mistletoe.
• Whoever comes within range will be pulled under the mistletoe and also be stuck.

Good. And if it is a virtual reality world then that just means when we get out that we should do this all over again!

[She is in so much danger! Especially because that actually makes her blush. She's not that easy to make blush.]

Well, for the moment I'll consider myself a casual fan. [Just to drive the point home that he understands she doesn't mean this as something serious. At least, not right now.]

[She's less sure how to take that.] Angling for more practice?

[goldenglasses]

[He laughs and gives her a kiss.] I don't know coach, do you think I need more practice?

Who doesn't benefit from more practice? [Kissing in return.] I used to practice dancing for hours a day and I don't like dancing this much.

[goldenglasses]

You were a ballerina, right? [It was hard sometimes keeping those memories apart, but he's pretty sure he remembers seeing ballerina shoes.] I would like to see you dance more often.

Not professionally, but yeah. [She smiles.] Do you dance, Vash?

Poorly. [Comes his quick answer.] But I've never let that stop me from dancing and having fun. [Given Vash's track record for purposely embarrassing himself this should not be a surprise. Partly because he COULD dance better if he tried to, but so rarely bothers trying.]

I can almost picture it. [She's picturing something ridiculous.] I could teach you some moves.

[She is probably not thinking ridiculous enough.]

That's very generous of you after all the new moves you've already taught me tonight.

[Probably not.]

You know, you actually taught me a thing or two.

[He looks honestly surprised by that.] Really? I did? [Surprised, but also a bit proud if he was being honest with himself.] As I didn't hear any complaints I hope it was a good something.

You really did. It's not like I've tried everything. [She gives his shoulder a very light punch. She figures he's more surprised since it was his first time though.]

Oh! Well, I mean-- I didn't mean to sound like you had. NOT THAT YOU COULDN'T. That is of course if you wanted to. After all, who could really try everything anyway? Well, besides maybe....

[Bail out, man! BAIL OUT!]

Do you think anyone has found my coat on the floor? [Tacked on with a light laugh.]

[She laughs as he digs his hole. Not offended at all.] Wait, wait, besides maybe who?

I don't know! [He was panicking. He had no idea what he was talking about anymore.] Like, ah... An... Um.. Some sort of expert? A... sex... ex-expert.

So, a sexpert? [Lips twitching as she tries to hold back a smile.]

[Vash just grins and laughs. Accepting the fact that he dug a giant hole and isn't getting slapped for it. (At least not yet.)] Haha! Yeah! Or well, at least something like that.

I thought maybe you were going to say an immortal. Figured you were considering a new path for yourself.

Heh. [He wants to laugh. To add to the joke, but doesn't know how he feels about the idea of being immortal. He hopes not.

Then again, he's never heard of a Plant dying from "natural causes" or old age.

His usual smile easily slips into place. The one where it takes a second and very close look to notice that he's not really smiling underneath.]

Well, I won't rule that out completely then if you think I have a future in it.

[This was much easier. He'd rather pretend nothing was bothering him. He just wanted to stay in this happy moment then think about reality.]

[Maybe it's a good thing she is looking so close then. Proximity for sure. They are very close, so it's hard to miss the little microexpressions that betray true thoughts. Did she ever tell him she dated a profiler back in Marina? For months or years depending on how that place truly worked. He even taught a class on it and she's always been a good student. Of course, she's also watching because she can never seem to do this kind of thing without feeling attached. Or being attached beforehand. She'd already come to care about Vash as a crewmate and a person. Seeing his memories through calibrations helped a lot, but so did just the way he's always treated her. Even at his most ridiculous he was a kind man.

But just because she has the feeling something is amiss doesn't mean she has to say anything, does it? Maybe it's better not to push through these doors. Maybe that just makes things more dangerous. Winn could be back tomorrow.

Her hand reaches up to gently touch his face.

Of course she pushes. (Just not literally. That would be mean to his face.)]

What are you actually thinking?

[His face softens under her touch and the question. He still smiles, but this time its one of wistful regret.]

Just that no one actually knows how long my kind can naturally live for. Maybe I am immortal. [He chuckles. He knows he's unlikely to be the one to find out back home. As the priest said: luck and persistence won't work forever. Eventually a bounty hunter will get lucky.]

I don't think I'd want to be. Not that I want to die. [At least not in the near future.] Just that at some point it might be nice to grow older.

Ahh. [She gently strokes his cheek before pressing a soft kiss to his lips.] I probably should have guessed that part. [That he wouldn't know. It seemed there weren't many of his kind from what she saw. That he was a surprise.]

Maybe you will. Do you age very slowly or did you stop aging when you got to this age?

[goldenglasses]

I aged very, very quickly. [Now that he's seen human children grow up for comparison.] Then I just stopped. I was fully grown in about two or three years.

[It was odd being so open with information only a handful of people back home knew of. Odd, but not bad either with Kitty. He didn't have as much fear that her finding out more about him would scare her like the people back home. Probably because he knows she's been through a bit of the same. Being feared for just simply being what you were and different.]
