Fanmail / Fan Theory Meme

Every fandom is full of fans eagerly coming up with theories, opinions, and questions- and the Drift Fleet is no different! In this meme, we get a chance to hear from our delightful fans!

Directions:

1. Comment with your character!

2. Then, pretending to be a fan of the Drift Fleet show- comment around to other characters with fan letters, questions, "headcanons", opinions, etc. You can do this anonymously, with a sock journal, or just your regular journal if you're feeling lazy.

3. As your character, reply back to any comments you get! These are your fans, treat them well!

4. You're also free to make toplevel comments focused on different fandom topics (such as "Best Ship", "Favorite 'Headcanons'", "Predictions - etc) and have a conversation between fellow fans! Or among fleetmembers, whatever!

5. Remember that this is an "IC Meme" (as in, its not game canon but you're still acting as characters), so there should be no discussions about fellow players or other OOC stuff.

Have you ever just wanted to tell someone flat-out what you think of them as a person? Does your roommate have this one quirk that drives you up the wall, like drinking from the carton? Sometimes all it takes to be the best person you can be is a dose of self-awareness, sometimes what it takes instead is a cluebat to the head... and sometimes they just have a stupid name you can never quite spell right.

For all this and more, have I got the meme for you!

THE LOWDOWN
1. Post a header with your character's name.
2. Comment in-character to other people's headers. With what? Depends on your CR! Maybe they're a good person and really should keep on keeping on, maybe literally everyone can see they need to suck it up and confess already, maybe they'll change their wicked ways if just one extra person casts aspersions on their pompadour. Bring in examples if you want, as with any helpful critique. Be as creative as you like!
3. Other characters will comment to yours, no doubt overflowing with well-meaning advice on how to be the best person they can be. Your character is free to respond. Excuse you, maybe despair is still in fashion? And I totally do not snore, how dare you!
4. A probably unnecessary reminder, but just remember, this is not a place for OOC crit! There are other, more appropriate channels for that.
5. Have fun! This is mandatory.

There are glitches going all around this month, and it can be hard to keep track of what's going on with who and where! So I thought I'd make this post so everyone can comment and plot. So, in DF, two things work differently from the usual jamjar communicators. One, anon posts can only be made if there's a communications officer in the ship. And two, the characters don't choose an username or have their names automatically appear with their messages thanks to the jamjar gods. No, like with normal phones, here we have communicator numbers, and your character can save them under a name. Know what that means? Oh yes, an IC contact list.

1. Make an empty top level for your character
2. Go around responding to others, telling them what your character has named theirs in their contact list
3. Dumb descriptions for characters that never exchanged names are encouraged
4. An engineer needs to program some emojis in this, come on
5. Profit! React OOCly, or ICly, or threadjack, or all at the same time, have fun.

Hello fleeters! Not to spam the community, I hope you don't mind me using this one same post for two very different things.

ONE. Sorry for the delay, but the info document has been updated! For the new people (or the oldies that need the refreshing): this is a document that all characters have been working on together since the heist, putting together all the information on Atroma as they find it. ICly, there's a physical copy of this document in the SS Iskaulit, with a chip stuck inside that contains a digital one. To be exact, it is hidden in the lecture hall, behind a fake piece of metal on the floor. Some characters have copies too! You can handwave your character being told about it, just remember it's by word of mouth, they don't talk about it in the network. They're free to create their own copies as well, please add them to the list at the beginning of the document. And remember, we're using googledocs because everyone in game is free to edit and add info whenever they want. #teamwork
