You're welcome to buy team colored clothes in shops. For all we know, the prize won't be something to wear, either.

[Mikumo's typical confident attitude doesn't take getting accustomed to at all, even though she hasn't seen the other woman in well over six months. In fact, it's refreshing to Kaname, a good counter balance to some of her own recent thoughts. Maybe it gives her some perspective. Who can say?]

Until then, why not watch another performance or two?

I don't care if it's wearable. Everything here is team colored. I've asked Messer and he said they even have weapons in the same schemes.

[She can't even have a knife or gun unless it looks good with her complexion. Duh, Kaname.

Besides, having her close friend with her here makes her feel even more confident about her standing in these competitions.]

I'm not good at sitting around and watching other people sing and dance. I'm not sure how other people do it.

[Of course they do, and of course he'd know that. The only betrayal of her thoughts is the small twitch of amusement at the corner of her mouth.]

Were you looking for a nice switch blade to match your eyes? [She's only partly joking.] Not even if you consider it scoping out the competition?

[And why wouldn't Mikumo ask him that? As idols, they have to take extra care to always be perfect. Kaname should know better.]

A girl can never accessorize too much, as you know. Makina might not be here, but that's no excuse.

[Is Mikumo joking? Who knows.]

I already know what I'm up against if you're here. It would hardly be a fair fight with the others. [She waves her hand back at the stage where a group is murdering a song about a dog. Or something.] Unless you know something I don't.

[Kaname bites her lip in amusement, doing her best to fight back a probable smile. Instead, she shakes her head at the mention of Makina.] I don't think she'd recommend that too much. Not so soon after arriving when you haven't amassed a suitable wardrobe yet.

[Looking where she gestures, the singer shrugs lightly.]

My being here means nothing of the sort. I'm only present for moral support and nothing more. Even if I did, I'm sure you'd want to navigate that on your own. Am I wrong?

[Mikumo puts her fingers to her lips in thought, mock-serious now.] You're probably right. It wouldn't be a complete set unless I got an entire toolset in the correct color scheme as well.

There is always the option of going out and performing together. It won't be the same without the others, of course, but it would be... familiar. Less fair to the rest of them, considering this is what we do all the time.

Save some money, then see where you're at in a couple weeks. [It's a mock-serious reply. Sort of.]

Next time, I promise. Give people a chance to be awed by you alone first. I think they deserve that much.

Saving money has never been a priority for me.

[It's true. All her needs were taken care of by Lady M and Choas. What does she know about spending money. TEACH HER!]

Hm, divide and conquer then? We can win more accolades if we perform separately and then destroy them by showing them what we can do together. [Mikumo's smile loses some of the shine it had before.] It's a shame the others aren't here. We could do more then.

[Kaname knows to offer her the option rather than force it on her. For all of Mikumo's lack of life experience, she's still (mostly) an adult.]

Something like that. Though, I'd rather not destroy anyone here if we don't have to. [She smiles in understanding.] We really could. But I'm glad to see you here.

[She's only made a few purchases, mostly clothes because she's NOT wearing the jumpsuit that was her only other outfit. She knows that she's been spoiled with Makina as a team member and with Chaos fitting the bill for so much of her living before now. She'll have to stand on her own two (lovely) feet.]

What's the point if we're not the best? [Does she have to slap you too, Kaname? That would hurt her more.] Moreso than our little apple girl? Somehow, I think not.

[Good ol' Makina, keeping everyone stylish. Kaname knows they have much to thank her for, something she'd love to do, even here if given the chance. And the same for Reina. Each of them has something to offer to strengthen the group.]

Being our best doesn't have to mean destroying any competition. Think of it as a chance to improve. [Automatic time out!

Kaname chuckles.] I didn't say anything about more or less so. You know that.

[Makina has always been the soul of Walküre. Kaname's the brains, Mikumo's the face, Freya's the naivete, and Reina's the sneakiness. Even before Mikumo joined, she knew that had it not been for Makina, the entire group would have fallen apart. Losing Clair and Lily had hurt in a way, but still she'd pushed the other two forward until Mikumo showed up and they all seemed to meld into a cohesive unit.]

I can improve and win at the same time. [Unless you're expecting humility. Then... well, good luck.

She laughs quietly under her breath at Kaname's answer.]

It's inconvenient that she leaves right before I get here. It's almost as if she's afraid of me.
