[ Allura is, of course, imagining one of the Sharides taking flight right off the track. Which seems to be a bit of a feat from her perspective. ]
Are you telling me there is another tier of races that takes place in the air?
no subject
[He turned, gesturing for her to come with him.]
I'll show you.
[Keith was definitely the more serious one of the Paladins, but, if Allura had ever wondered what he'd be like when he was excited about something, this was it.]
no subject
Alright.
[ Allura has no qualms about this and falls into step beside him. ]
It seems you have had more time to explore this place than I have.
[ Or she was just a little too taken in by the racing birds. ]
no subject
[Keith smiled a bit and shrugged.]
It's a pretty interesting place so far. Though, with the way people are talking about that mist... [He frowned a little and shook his head.] I want to see what's out there, but it sounds pretty dangerous. [He had a bad feeling about it.]
no subject
As do I, but I want to make sure that we are adequately prepared before venturing into it. I would hate for anyone to suffer ill affects if it can be avoided.

Our Paladin suits are air-tight. So, it might be worth giving them a try.
[But it wouldn't take long for them to reach the magnaball field. And, sure enough, there were giant eagle-like birds that the players were flying around on.]
See? Flying birds.
no subject
[ Not that she doesn't mind making a call on her own, but with something like this, it's much better to have everyone's input and comfort taken into consideration.
But the birds are most definitely not what she expected. Allura's eyes widen in surprise, and then joy. ]
Oh...they're lovely!
no subject
Yeah, they are. [He smiled a little at Allura's reaction.] It probably takes a lot of skill and a good relationship with your bird to actually play in one of the games, but they're going to be doing some sort of workshop later where you can try riding one with an instructor.
I want to try it.
no subject
[ Of course it would be easy to try and turn this into some sort of training lesson, but...she resits. Sort of. ]
Do you think they would allow it?
no subject
Maybe. Though, I don't think these birds and riders have a psychic bond.
[He sighed a little, looking somewhat wistful. Giving up that link had been hard, but he knew he had to do that mission with the Blades. Shiro was the better leader anyway. This was just the way it should be.]
Oh, yeah. I mean, that's what the workshop is for. But, I'm definitely going to ask anyway.
[He smiled a bit, and started heading over.]
Come on.

[ Though one never truly knows. She hadn't thought it possible--nor necessary--to share any sort of telepathic bond with mice, but they have not only been very useful in tough situations, but also good friends and confidants. She does miss them.
Still, she is a little endeared with how much Keith seems to enjoy the birds. Allura falls into step beside him easily. ]
You are quite taken with these creatures, aren't you?
[ He's always been...focused on the mission, but she has rarely seen him focused on something so light-hearted in comparison. ]
no subject
I guess. I've always liked flying and going fast. It's something Shiro and I kind of bonded over when we first met, so that's sort of how I ended up at the Garrison with the others. It's just something I'm good at.
[His tone was very nonchalant as Keith wasn't someone to push his talent in someone's face on a regular basis. He usually let his actions speak for themselves. In fact, he tended to be more self-conscious of his faults first. But this felt more relaxed, and there wasn't a war to worry about or a certain Black Lion to fill, so Keith was feeling comfortable and less pressured. It was letting him open up more.]
