Well, she really wasn't expecting company while she was down here, but for a moment when Lotor dashes in through the doorway, Katie thinks he's someone else. It's the colouring. Very familiar, of late, and she raises her eyebrows even as she lowers the hand she threw up in case he did careen into her.

"Goodness." Her tone is mild, and clipped British. "You certainly know how to make an entrance. Are you all right?"

That the passageway and stairs behind him seem to have crumbled away doesn't seem to faze her overly much. Katie makes her own doorways.

"Perfectly. Thank you for your concern." The mist is thicker here, so low on the island as they were. He's thankful that his suit had come with him upon arrival, the helmet protecting him, at least for now. He glances at the console in front of them, the rust thick on the knobs and several of the glass displays cracked and empty. It's unlikely it works.

Lotor cranes back slightly, looking behind the woman to the passageway behind them, dark and shrouded with mist past a few feet in. "Unfortunately it looks as though we'll have to find another way out of this predicament. I imagine you are not a local. " Her accent told him as much, the orange humaniods above speaking in a much more musical, lilted tone.

"I imagine the locals would have more sense than to putter about in such dangerous areas," she says dryly, reaching up to adjust her own mask out of habit. "Unlike the two of us. Were you looking for something in particular or just exploring?"

"It would certainly seem so." How they maintained these islands when no one descended into the mist to do any work befuddled him. There had to be some source of power that allowed these islands to float un-supported for so long.

"Have you explored that direction yet?"

Not answering her question, idle though it was. Now she definitely wonders if he's related to her supposed twin. She gives him an amused smile and waves a hand in the direction of the mist.

"Briefly, but not a close one. Not as if my life may have depended upon it before this. No time like the present, I suppose."
