It was hard not to be aware that the Galran Prince had turned up on the fleet. He wasn't exactly subtle, and Haggar had glimpsed him here and there from time to time, and frankly, it was hard for her mind to not be tuned into wanting to observe his actions, though it wasn't often she could get close enough to do so.

When she had last seen him, in their own universe, his father had only just exiled him once more, but she had felt there was something deeper to his actions, though whatever that may have been was beyond her knowledge at the moment. She felt compelled to keep tabs on him, even though she did not know why. It was hard to tell how long ago that had been, with the way the fleet's augments had whittled away certain things, when she was already dealing with so much.

    No matter.

He was still the Prince, and she knows he will learn of her presence sooner or later and likely not be happy for it. She'd noticed how he had seemed to take to exploring, much like she has, in her time on these strange planets, looking for clues or connections or anything worth knowing or using. It made it easier for her to keep tabs, that strange compulsion to do so, some piece she was missing.

It's likely only a matter of time before he realizes that he's not alone here, that the witch he so hates is calmly watching him as he studies... whatever it is that must have grabbed his attention here. She is patient; she can do this all day, really; simply observe, unless something else gives away her presence.

There are little scuttling sounds across the floor from time to time, even if they are only tiny, scavenging things. Easy enough to ignore, but, a sound nonetheless.

    HELLO MOTHER

Lotor has always been sensitive to that itching on the back of neck, that prickling and raising of the hairs there that signaled that he was being watched. For most, if not all of his life, he was dodging Haggar's moles, spies, tricks, and spells; whatever reason she had for keeping track of him regardless of Zarkon's dismissal of him, she was more than persistent.

The scuttle and sensation is more than enough for him to be suspicious, and the prince closes the book he was reading, narrowing his eyes as his breathing changes ever so slightly with his awareness. Haggar was here, he was certain of it. Whatever that clicking sound was, he's heard it several times in this library, suspiciously every time he moved rooms. It was too familiar of a tell to be anything else.

"I know you are there witch. Show yourself."

    MY SON

Once Lotor makes the acknowledgement, of sorts, of her presence, there's hardly a reason to keep up the game. Not that she really wants to make herself known to him, but for the present, and perhaps importantly, they were alone.

So she waits a few moments, until she's certain he's not focused on her actual location, before moving forward into the light.

    "Prince Lotor."

    Of course.

The book is closed and shelved calmly, even as his shoulders and jawline tighten up, and it takes him a moment to turn and face her. His expression is cold, and he balls his fists at his side, disgust in his voice.

"Had I one thing I could have enjoyed about this place, it would have been that I was free of you." He couldn't possibly be that lucky. "There is no empire here for me to foil, why is it you still cling to my heels like Kanidorium mud?"

    Why, indeed.

It sounded very much like a rhetorical question; certainly she had no real answer to give to him and certainly, she never did truly give him answers, whenever he would throw an accusation or a demand in her face. It's just how things always were between them; odd.

"These archives are here for anyone to study."

There. An answer that would indicate that her interest in what was here would have proceeded the fact that he just so happened to be drawn to the same area. It does not give answer to the fact that she took to spying on him instead after he had arrived, of course, but that was another matter.

"This city spans a distance larger than you can cover in a day, and it is only one of many islands containing many archives. And yet you are here." The witch always has tricks up her sleeve, and for this reason he keeps a certain distance from her as he approaches.

"Regardless of your excuses, its to coincidental to not be intentional."

She listens to his accusation, allowing his words to hang in the air between them. More than coincidence? Perhaps. It is not as if she would have passed up an opportunity to observe him even if she had been there first.

"Paranoia does not become you, Prince Lotor."

She replies evenly, as much of a verbal shrug that it is. "Do you believe that our paths will not continue to cross one another's while we are in this reality?"
