Got someone you want to try out before you app? Well this is the post for it! Feel free to use anything that fits in the setting of Drift Fleet! Want to play bumper shuttles? Want to go wild in a med bay? Play around with the current plot? Have at it!

Threads from the Test-Drive may be made game "canon" but DO NOT count toward AC!

FOR NEW PLAYERS: You DO NOT NEED an invite to participate in the TEST DRIVE! If you decide to APP into the game, ONLY THEN will you need an invite from a current player!

    III! In the kitchen of whatever ship Hunk ends up on

    Having his best bud aboard the fleet was more than he could ever ask for. Over the past several months, he's missed him dearly. That he doesn't have his previous memories of this place doesn't matter (apparently this happens, as he's learned with Allura). Lance has his best friend back. And that's all that matters.

    It doesn't take Lance long at all to track Hunk down in the kitchen of the ship he's been stationed on. He grins, all but bouncing in, leaning against one of the counters.

    "Hey, good lookin', whatcha got cooking?" he asks brightly.

    Hunk immediately breaks into song. Because how can he not? His mom and aunts used to watch a cooking show with a country theme with that line in it, so he just continues it.

    "How's about cookin' somethin' up with meeeee?"

    Yeah he's a little bit happy too. This place is pretty cool and a lot of his friends are here. Plus, there's lots of stuff to cook!

    "You must have really missed me if you're calling me good looking. Everything okay? I didn't ask how everyone's been, I'm sorry. Trying to get acclimated is a little hard..."

    He looked down at the food he was preparing with a frown, but back up at Lance with a smile.

    "It might take awhile since I have to stew the meat, but how does ropa vieja sound? The Gardens seem to have all the veggies we need..."

    He can't help but laugh when Hunk sings right along. Yes, he's definitely pleased again these days.

    "I miss you when I don't see you for like two days, man. But I seriously, seriously did miss you a lot. I'm glad you're back."

    Lance makes his way over, giving Hunk a brief but tight hug. ...And oh, did he just suggest what food he thought he did? "If you make that...I might have to ask you to marry me, though Keith probably wouldn't like that."

    "Awwww. Look, buddy, I love you and all, but I gave my heart to a girl on the Balmera way back when. And I could never do that to Keith. I'll make you all the food you want though, deal?"

    Because yeah, he's really happy to be here, now that he knows all his friends are too.

    "We really do! Although please don't hit on Shay, okay? She'd probably appreciate it, but if Keith gets jealous that'll just be weird."

    But he's grinning too.

    "And uhhh...I feel kinda like a jerk for asking this, but could you slice these onions for me? And that garlic? And maybe the peppers too?"

    He gives a wave of his hand. "I'm a one man kind of guy. No more flirting with anyone. I've matured and all that stuff!" he says, chest puffed up. Clearly. "No problemo on all that prep, though. I'm great with a blade now."

    He is! He trains with Ulaz and everything! Sure, that's sword training and not kitchen knife training, but still. It isn't as if he doesn't already have years helping his family in the kitchen prep stuff. Lance heads to the fridge to pick out the ingredients in question, washing them.

    "Yeah?"

    He doesn't even sound disbelieving. Score.

    "And that's good, I don't think a pepper would react well to being shot. Unless we want mush that vaguely resembles pepper innards or something. Probably wouldn't do much for the recipe though."

    He watched as Lance got things ready, not doubting him at all as he got the meat ready to stew and arranged his spices.

    "I know this place is a little weirder than the weird we're used to, but it seems pretty okay so far. At least you're all here."
