Status Report!

Hey everyone! Stick here, and I've got some updates for you!

Thank you all so much for your help the last few days, pointing out problems, asking questions, and making suggestions. We've already made some really good (and important!) improvements based on player feedback.

Changes over the last few days:

• Reworded the "Pilot" augment and the "Travel" information to better explain all the reasons you guys will want a pilot on your crew
  
• The OOC comm now has moderated acceptance, making the locked contact page actually locked
  
• Red whipped together a quick guide on how to use the game spreadsheets
  
• A "journal" section has been added to the app, to make updating the Taken Characters page much faster
  
• There's now a "quick menu" at the top of the Game Details page (thank god there was so much scrolling...)
  
• The game navigation links can now be found at the top and bottom of most game pages, for ease on mobile devices
  
• Fancy column scrolling now makes it easier to navigate the AC spreadsheet

Works in progress:

• I'm in the process of learning how to edit-lock cell ranges in Google spreadsheets so no one can accidentally delete half of the AC roster or something.
  
• We're also working out a short form to put at the top of Drift Fleet network and action posts. Sweet!

Minor horrors that have occurred:

• I unscreened someone's app for like two seconds and it was terrifying
  
• I put Dolly's contact information in the mod section by mistake. Surprise!
  
• Have you ever seen a three-column table try to interpret four columns of information? Hilarity.

Some stats:

• As of right now, we have accepted 17 characters into the Drift Fleet.
  
• We currently have 3 security officers, 3 pilots, 3 lab support officers, 2 engineers, 2 communications officers, 1 tactical support officer, 1 personnel support officer, and 2 cooks.

While you're waiting for the game to start...

I highly suggest putting some basic info about your character into their journals if you haven't already, so that people who don't know the canon can at least have a reference. Yuff found this really excellent character bio code that has buttons for an appearance page, history page, CR page, etc. all in the same box--but you're welcome to use a simpler form, or just copy + paste some things from your app into an entry.

If you're too lazy to write up a proper character bio, putting your app in a journal entry/your profile is also a pretty decent way to let people know what's up!
