As for me, I'll travel on...
Just like any other system, your time in this one draws to a close. Just like any other drift, the Marsiva begins to pull away, tugging all of the Fleet ships along behind her. Just like any other time, everything is normal as you start to move along.
... For a few hours. After that, you'll notice everything begin to slow. Usually at this point, you've drifted far enough away that the system is just out of sight - but this time, you're still here. The planet is just outside of the Marsiva's radius of influence, so no ships or shuttles can reach her - no landing, for now, unfortunately - but she's still there. And the Marsiva rumbles - quietly, but noticeable - and continues moving slowly... without actually getting any farther away. Seems like, for some reason, it doesn't actually want to leave.
============
As of this post, the Fleet is "drifting"! For... very slow and circle-y values of drifting. But hey, it kind of counts?
The drift period will last until 7/7, taking us straight into endgame. Please see below for details and a timeline of events!
As the fleet slowly rolls along, Zhade will be working tirelessly on his shield-depleting method and keeping an incredibly close eye on the Marsiva itself. Once the perfect time comes, on July 7th, he will give the signal to begin.
The first post, on July 7th, will include all of the action, and can be used as a mingle post as well to do your own things related to the plan, whether you're boarding the Marsiva to have a look around or staying on your ships to keep firing at her and keep her attention. ICly, this will all take place within a single day. OOCly, you can tag it for however long you please.
There will also be the following toplevels:
There will be some final reveals in each toplevel, and YOU get to decide a few things, so keep your eyes peeled!
You can absolutely start your own toplevels as well, so you can thread any endgame battles or exploration with each other! On board your own ships (or shuttles), you will be dodging occasional shots from the Marsiva while trying to return fire - or maybe you're just trying to keep your crew safe and uninjured. Anyone who boards the Marsiva will occasionally run into armed, humanoid but headless robotic frames, so take them out and continue on your way!
If you don't want to be part of the action, the best place for you will be the Iskaulit - where you can watch from the windows, keep each other company (and calm), or ride it all out in the bar with your drink of choice. However you spend the time is up to you. Feel free to make an Iskaulit toplevel, or a whole separate mingle post! However you want to do it is perfectly OK.
The second post, on July 14th, will come from Dr. Mrs. The Monarch. She will have finally figured out the ins and outs of how to get people home - if they even want to go home all. Each character will be able to choose whether they (1) go home, (2) go somewhere else, or (3) stay here in the Fleet to start a new life. More nuanced details will be given at that time, like the state of the ships/shuttles and exactly how this all works, but we wanted to outline for you all the main choices that your character will have.
This The Drift Fleet's true Finale - so make it what you want it to be. ♥
We also want to let you know that upon the game officially closing, We will be leaving the game open as a musebox, should anyone choose to continue playing out universe-drifting shenanigans of their own. Again, we'll provide more details on that later, but we wanted you to have some advance heads up.
Any questions so far? Leave them here!

There will also be the following toplevels:
- The Ships - Fire your cannons once Zhade gives the signal, and do some damage! Aim specifically for the reparative generators, or try to coax out the Marsiva's own weapons so you can concentrate your fire on destroying those instead! The choice is yours.
- Infiltration: Find Atroma - Or, perhaps, find whatever is left of Atroma. Or whatever is there instead of Atroma. You will be facing off against whatever dark, writhing force appears to be pulling the strings. How will you deal with it?
- Infiltration: Your Gracious Hosts?! - Consider it a side quest~ Those who join in here will have a chance to determine the fate of the lovely Carmen and Chase that some of you of course have grown to love... Or have you? What will their ending be?
Is that drill from before an option? Who knows... - The Core / The Way Out - Follow Dr. Mrs. The Monarch straight to the chamber where it's decided who gets snatched from worlds, who goes home, and how it all happens. Help her cross wires, bend physics, and basically do science real good!
