DRAGONS!
So, the time has finally come!
Tek has pushed his body to its limit, as far as remaining in human form goes. Dragons aren't meant to keep that up for so many months at a time, so he is dashing out to the woods and finally losing his human shape.
This is the ooc discussion/information/whatever post for it, since I want this to be as easy as possible for anyone who wants to meet a big ugly dragon in the forest, or get in on the unfortunate series of skirmishes that ensues.
There is also a pulse of haunting feeling that goes through the town at the same time, for anyone who happens to be around to pick it up, whether or not they ever see a dragon. So, that info is in here as well!
Open to anyone and everyone, whether or not we've talked before!
→ Anyone hanging around Mor
Dragons are immense fonts of energy, and this can often be felt by even the most mundane of mortals. So, when Tek runs off to burst out of his shell, the entirety of the town and surrounding countryside can feel the release of energy. To something like an average human, they'll get a shiver and haunting feeling, and animals around will probably fall into a graveyard hush. There may also be pangs of indefinable sadness or malaise. And something more sensitive than the average Joe might be able to tell that there has been a huge burst of death-flavored elemental energy somewhere. They may also be able to sense that there's a big ancient creature around somewhere. ...Whatever you want, really. Play with it however you want. Or ignore it entirely! This is just a passive thing that happens and can be played with or noted or not.
→ Before the mob
If you want to just run into a huge hideous dragon before the villagers find him and shit turns bad, there is totally opportunity to do that! Just mention that in your thread when you reply to the IC post. I can't promise that it won't turn into a fight if he's provoked, or that he'll stick around for very long... because he is rightfully paranoid about people seeing him... but yeah! Knock yourself out.
→ After the mob
Eventually, a group of foresters find him in the woods, because there is only that one-mile-wide strip of space between the town and the barrier for him to hide in! They attack... he fights back... and then the terrified remnants of the group flee back to the town and raise the alarm. The call goes out that there is a monster in the forest, and that he has already struck down several of their number!
• Multiple fights? - Because he's waited so long to shift forms, there is a big delay before Tek can take human form again. He also can't speak any language other than draconic while his mouth is shaped like a crocodile's. So, he's stuck in true form, running from place to place in the forest, trying to evade bands of attackers. This means that multiple fights take place! You can partner up with other people for a multi-person fight thread if you want, but you absolutely don't need to. Every person can have their own thread, for all I care. Just jump in and have fun.
• Threading? Implying? - Life keeps me from being a fast tagger, and I don't want this to be an overwhelming little event anyway. This ooc post is here for all implying needs-- we can decide ahead of time how things will go, plot out the rest of a thread if it slows down and one of us is done with it, agree on injuries so we can move on with our lives elsewhere, or straight-up imply the whole battle if you want to get involved but don't actually want to thread out fighting. Whatever you want! I know that battle threads can be taxing, so I am game for any variation of it.
• Death? - There is a high likelihood that this event will result in Tek's death! Since Jove is on Tek's crew, I am giving priority to her (and whoever is in the thread with her) for killing-Tek-rights. If all players involved in that thread are in agreement that this is how it's going to play out, then it will be assumed that will be the final event in Tek's very bad day, and he'll bite the dust. So, unless otherwise noted here, assume that he manages to flee other battles before he can fall, and then this is where the whole thing finally ends.
If other people are wanting their characters to be maimed or killed, let's give that some serious discussion and figure that ahead of time in this post.
• Meshing powers? Chronology? Other questions or comments? - Feel free to use this post for all questions, comments, inter-player plotting, aftermath discussion, organization, general flailing... whatever. Just pile it all in here!
I WANT THIS TO BE FUN AND EASY! Don't be shy, don't worry if battle threads aren't really your thing, don't worry about time or speed or backtagging... this really is totally open to everyone, and there's no such thing as too late! I've never gotten to have Tek's true identity revealed in a game before, and he always has it way too easy. What fun is a dragon if he isn't causing a mess? I'm looking forward to it!

DAT KILLIN PARTY
Obviously it should be people who can fight because like, lets not all die. Jove does have an ability that will restore everyone to life and heal them, but it can only be used once so lets all be sure we don't die much alright? Alright.

SO ABOUT DRAGON MURDER
Firstly, there are two options when it comes to dragons dying. Normally, when a dragon dies in any form, they shift to true form after death and that's it. But Tek's clan has a last-ditch resurrecting ability, but it only works if he dies while in human form, so... here's how it works with him.
→ If he dies while in true form, he'll just be a giant dead dragon... and looters will quickly start chopping up that body for armor and magic ingredients. I DON'T THINK I WANT THIS because him dying is bad enough.
→ The other option is dying in human form. He will be trying to shift to human form the whole time, especially when near death, because he'll want to be able to use his resurrecty trick. So, right at the end, he'll shift back... but probably still be attacking, because he's high in fight-or-flight, and assumes he's going to be murdered, at that point.
SO, SOMEONE WILL NEED TO DEAL THE FINISHING BLOW if this is how we want to play it out. After that, he'll be a dead guy, and you guys can haul his corpse back to the ships or leave it in the woods, or whatever you want.
One important note, however! He has a necklace that he always wears in human form, and this thing contains the remains of his soul. It will immediately start compelling nearby humans to pick it up! It was discussed earlier that Dorian would probably be the most compelled (because of his necromancy, and will probably be in the killing party) to pick it up. So, he has first rights to it. If anyone has any strong feelings on this one way or another, speak now!
After his stone is picked up, it will start haunting and talking to its holder, compelling them to find/dig up/whatever a dead body for it to be put onto. This can be implied that it happens before they leave Mor gfdhjk. Once it gets put on a dead body, Tek takes it over, (horrifyingly) unrots it, and inhabits it. Then, his old body rapidly starts to decay, and his new body slowly starts to look like his old self, until the transformation is complete... about a month later.
:'D
SO THAT'S HOW IT WORKS. Let me know what you think and how you want the actual killing to go. And if it looks like this team isn't going to carry it out, I can see if someone else wants the chance.

Oh, and while you're here, I can ask you what your thoughts are on whether or not any of their dragony abilities would mesh.
In Tek's world, dragons share a connection, almost a hive-mind. They can understand the dragon language whether or not they were ever actually taught it, and communicate with each other telepathically. Tek's only ever been in game with one other out-of-canon dragon, and they happened to also have similar powers, so we agreed that they could both understand each other and communicate mentally.
Does Ladon have anything like that? Or do you think they would be different enough that their abilities don't mesh that way?
Also, based on whatever Ladon's got going on, do you think Tek would be able to sense that he is a dragon, or anything along those lines?

ALSO VOTING ON TEK'S NEW BODY
WHAT WILL HIS TEMPORARY BODY BE LIKE??
Make suggestions, vote on an idea, whatever. Help me decide.
Basically when he resurrects, he temporarily takes over a dead body. He will have the appearance of this person when he comes back to life, and will sloooowly change back into his appropriate appearance over the course of an entire month.
In the past, he has been brought back as a frumpy-looking woman, and as a little girl. Both were pretty hilars.
So, give me ideas!

He will happily join in on the mobbing, either as a surprisingly tanky necromancer (assuming someone either gives him a staff or a pair of daggers), or running around dropping heals.
... he could also be dumb and summon a flesh golem, which would definitely be some sort of undead, which i think tek could steal from him??

Just... oh boy watch out for that venom. It melts plants so fast. His death-aura abilities would also probably be extra-dangerous to Asteffiel, but Tek's augment is blocking the worst of them from working on crewmates, so feel free to have saladman mysteriously immune to anything that might kill him.
And if you don't want to thread him fighting Tek on his own, maybe you could pair up with a buddy or two. :}

And then after the alarm goes out and things get crazy, he could try to follow where Tek flies but just not be able to keep up with him in all of that forest--thus missing the actual battles. Something like that?

Mr. No-no kill
ONLY if I'm asked of course. Otherwise I'll be keeping Vash away from the fighting.
