Avengers Assemble!
Hello fellow Fleeters!
Gwen here (a.k.a. Kenley; I'm updating my contact information), and I'm super excited to present my second character Wanda Maximoff from the newest Avengers feature film: Age of Ultron! Yes, the MCU Scarlet Witch is here! She's a mutan- er, "miracle..." you know what, she's a superhero with several psychic and mental-based powers. She can read minds, manipulate people by forcing them to experience visions usually related to their deepest held fears or regrets, she can form psychic barriers and enjoy all the goodness that comes from telekinesis. She's had a pretty tumultuous life so far, but she's looking to make amends and find redemption. It's just kind of unfortunate that being suddenly whisked away to a reality TV show in space makes those goals a little difficult to accomplish.
Due to the nature of Wanda's abilities and her joining the fleet from after a majority of the events of the film, I've put up a permissions post on Wanda's journal. Basically, it just asks if you're okay with potentially having certain parts of Age of Ultron spoiled, having your characters minds being read, and/or being given terrifying psychic visions. Please know that Wanda will not be flippantly going around abusing her powers; the one she is most likely to make common use of is her mind reading ability, which kind of serves as her version of a litmus test to see how trusting she should be of your characters. Again, it's totally up to you to determine if she can use these powers, and know that I will naturally ask your permission and discuss with you what exactly your character or Wanda will see/experience.

futurepetdetective if you haven't already. I know that, since I was on hiatus for a while due to finishing up grad school, I'm probably missing a fair number of you. I'll be throwing up a new intro plurk soon for new players/plurk friends, as well as current plurk friends. There's a lot that's happened since I first joined Drift Fleet, and thus I'd like to catch anyone who's interested up to speed.

I'm sure they could still a great many things! Haha, I'd love to have Hawke and Wanda interact. I'm sure they'd have an interesting chat about the difference between magic and superpowers... if there are any...

I definitely fell like, into the void this month, but the next time either of them has an open thing in June we should gracefully collide and see where it takes us. It seems pretty feasible for that to involve one of them using their abilities, which is always an ice breaker, right?

Hi, I'm Ty, I don't think we've properly meet yet! I play Nat here, but from pre-AoU--still trying to decide if I'm canon updating or not, waiting til my second viewing of AoU to decide. Definitely looking forward to threading with you!

Definitely nice to meet you, too! I've done some creative interpretation with Nat's backstory given how little we have to work with in MCU, and I don't feel AoU contradicts it so far, but I'll let you know if I edit/update, and will fill out Wanda's permissions post soon!
