god riku would panic if they docked at destiny islands tbh--

this is difficult to answer because riku's ambivalent! he would love to go anywhere but home. i can tell you that he would definitely hate to have to go to radiant garden because of the memories and the people there. he doesn't want to go to disney castle because he doesn't think he's Good Enough to show himself to the king again. not yet.

he feels really anxious within worlds that sora "saved" because he feels like he'll just wreck everything sora did good

POOR RIKU. It is very depressing when the place you feel most at home at is one of the darker ones. Then again, it is Paris so I guess that's pretty cool.

AND HE WANTS TO CHANGE EVERYTHING ABOUT HIS PERSONALITY GOSH. But no if it was one thing, he'd....want to change whatever it is that makes him different from Good Ending Zelos. Since gosh everything he's heard about that guy makes him sound like not a giant fuck up and he'd really like to know how that works.

YEAH CONGRATS RIKU i'm honestly really glad, lmao. without lea around to keep his sanity a little riku is kind of very very fucked in the head, which is why it wasn't even an option, sadly;;;

well he's getting the power of friendship. even if it's snarky friendship.

riku's very strange. he hasn't stopped to think about how he feels about being here, only that he needs to get everyone home. everyone sort of hit the ground running so he hasn't had time to pause and think (though that's coming up in planetfall, maybe). truth be told, riku doesn't usually think about how he feels, anyway, which always makes it notable when he does.

he's very determined to evacuate the whole fleet, kind of turning on blinders. if he actually stopped to think, he might realize that he's actually really fucking terrified--he's always been on his own, sure, but he's now around so many people and there are people watching them and he feels both a pressure to live up to his master status and just give away as little as he can (which kaneis kind of fucked over)

HOWEVER IF SORA AND KAIRI SHOWED UP riku would never sleep. he sleeps a little now but the panic and terror would be overwhelming, because if none of them are back home, xehanort could do something. what if this was xehanort's doing? he can't let this happen again. they have to find a way out, they have to save the worlds. in that case, he'd kind of say "fuck everyone else, we need to get out" (THIS IS WHY RIKU THE LCW IS PROBABLY THE BEST OPTION IN GAMES)
