Cecil prioritizes function and comfort over style, but she definitely has an aversion to clothes that are... ugly. lol If there's nothing else, she won't fuss, but she might feel a bit self-conscious. She doesn't mind dressing up in makeup and dresses (whoo, this reminds me that Robin should see the mini-dress one of the Tykis bought her in Court, ahah) and heels, but it's usually not her first choice. She really only feels the need to dress up like that for special occasions and when she needs to distract someone from taking her seriously or basically treat someone she's pursuing (or is pursuing her) with eye-candy. In Court, she often wore a typical knight's garb to be worn under heavy armor— breeches, gambeson, etc. all in black and in DF, she's opted for the flex armor suit.

Would Robin freak out if Cecil saw him in his true form? How would he react?

Robin would absolutely freak out if Cecil saw him in his true form, and be pretty uncomfortable no matter what. He hates people being scared of him just because of the way he looks, but he also gets really upset when people are just... okay with it? Like, what is wrong with you?? Do you not see that he is horrifying? STOP LYING TO HIM YOU THINK HE'S GROSS. :'( So there's no way to win, he's going to be upset and nervous in his true form around her no matter what.

Cecil's world naturally has creatures of all different kinds of weird shapes and sizes, and she's spent the last year, especially, fighting the really hostile and aggressive ones, so I don't actually think she'll be as afraid as a person from a more normal world would be, but it'll definitely take her by surprise and she'll definitely see him as a threat at first. Theeeen when she learns it's Robin, she'll mostly chill out. She hasn't considered at all that his current form is just an illusion! So that would be such a nasty shock! D: But once that wears off, knowing that it's Robin wouldn't really make her look at him or think of him any differently. He's still her friend and still him, and besides that? She's not entirely new to having friends with strange, uh... appearances, and definitely not to seeing horrifying things. She's even babysat a half-transformed Noah before, complete with tentacles and scary growling, s-soooo... SHE'D BE KIND OF WARY OF HIM, BUT Cecil is Cecil, you know? She'll never feel a really strong aversion to someone she cares for, no matter how genuinely frightening or unnatural they look, and she herself would never let her reservations complicate a friendship. Like, even the Queen of Baron becomes a fucking female Odin in her canon, hahah.

But, man, Cecil, why are all your most important people secretly nightmare fuel underneath all their prettiness? /UNSURE

PULLING ALL OUR THREADS TOGETHER HERE NOW, what was the truth of the situation with Zhas and Saoirse? What was she really like towards him, with her being a vampire and him being human? HOW'S HE DEALING WITH CECIL BEING A LITTLE SASSY WITH HIM?

AND... Zhas and Saoirse... Yeah... What a tough...... Question............

Because their relationship is very complex. On the one hand, it could be perceived that she's using him. She's trained him to be her most loyal huntsman and hasn't exactly done a lot to encourage him to lead a healthy or independent lifestyle outside of her. She's also very selfish; her entire operation is based around making her feel better, and she often uses the death of Zhas' parents as an encouragement to get him to do what she wants. Because of her questionable sanity, even Zhas isn't totally sure if she loves him because of what he's done, or if she loves him because he's a replacement for her actual dead son.

But for whatever reason, she's actually genuinely good to him. She might be losing most of her emotions and sanity, but she still showers him with affection and because he is human, she treats him as more important than the other vampires around their castle. She calls on him first, depends on him, believes that he is strong and loyal and knows she can trust him to take care of things. Her willpower is crazy intense and she has never, ever harmed him on purpose. He's even asked her to drink his blood before and she's refused, because she doesn't drink from humans anymore. She is half of the reason his resolve to not hurt humans is so strong. If she can do it, it should be easy for him.

So he's at least not delusional about their relationship--and he's perfectly aware that those negatives exist. He knows he's being used, but he also intentionally submits himself as her servant. He knows she might confuse him with her other son, and that bothers him, but it also helps push aside any insecurity--if she thinks he's her son, then he'll always be important to her, no matter what. The first two-thirds of his canon really tries to tilt Saoirse and Zhas as the villains, and paint Saoirse especially as a manipulative monster who's brainwashed Zhas--but Zhas likes the direction and comfort in his life. Even if he knew better, he's so loyal to her and she's been good enough to him that there's nowhere else he'd rather be.

Their relationship is like... He's taking care of a beloved parent who's got early onset dementia/Alzheimer's. The "truth" of their relationship is that they love each other dearly, but she keeps forgetting him and growing distant, and her constant fits and terrifying hallucinations are really, really terrifying and frustrating to Zhas. A small part of him kind of wishes he didn't have to take care of her anymore--just because it's so hard to keep watching her while she's falling apart like that, but if she wasn't around... he'd have nothing to live for. He would literally lose his reason to keep on living.

SO THAT'S THEM THAT'S WHAT'S UP.

As for Cecil, Zhas has like 0 tolerance for sass so he's probably about two comments away from kicking her.

HA HA he's not even from a canonpoint where his life gets really miserable. :'D

UGH OKAY like... I say that Robin is gross because he'd sleep with anything on two legs if it touched his hair and called him pretty, but Zhas actually kind of creeps me out because... Like... He kinda wants to bang his not-mom. He already has gross boy thoughts about normal girls (and some boys) once in a while, and he already tries his best to keep those repressed and just not think about it, but then, like...

Saoirse is super-powerful and really hot and makes him really happy and is always wandering around without her clothes on because she can't fucking stay in a dress for more than an hour before she gets annoyed and slithers out of it. And she's very touchy with him--petting his hair and holding him and touching his face and he just... LIKE, he hit puberty and had the sudden intrusive thought, "wow, that'd be really hot" AND IT'S FOLLOWED HIM AND HAUNTED HIM AND GOD MOM JUST KEEP YOUR CLOTHES ON for the love of god. e___e

It makes him feel so gross and her being a vampire makes it way worse and kind of distracting because she could bite him and that'd be amazing BAD but he just... Ugh... He's got a thing for his undead not-mom and it lives quietly underneath all of his other, normal obsessive thoughts about her and makes them worse. :|

Oh, I'm editing to include that he's pretty much her sole care provider when she's DESPONDENT AND WEIRD so he helps her take baths and dresses her and stuff so please just imagine his eternal torment. He'd never ever ever ever ever act on it but just let that settle in for a minute.

Yes he has! But only twice. And he was really drunk both times (on his birthday! when he dresses and kind of acts like a normal human!) because otherwise he probably wouldn't have been able to calm down enough to do much of anything anyway because WHAT IS being an intense tangle of constant anxiety and self-esteem problems.

He also kissed Coil once but he was... drunk for that too...... and neither of them admit it happened.
