Lots and lots of learning! It has become painfully apparent to Nunnally that she's one of the youngest on these ships, and she wants desperately to be useful to her crew. She has this whole "I don't want to be a burden" baggage going on, so she's trying to constantly put forth this image of a completely calm, collected, and awesome young noble lady so that people take her seriously and she can be relied on. And, in her mind the first step to doing that is becoming the world's best comm officer!

So she's been spending a lot of time pouring over her comm console, or just reading the network. She's become a bit of a busybody, so she's practicing her new hacking skills where she can, whoops.
