Steal and Dance the Night Away!

The Ball is now up! The Heist will come up later today (once the NPCing mods get home cough). The heist is now up too!

Information about either events can be found on their mingles! A conclusion info post will go up on Sunday May 14, but we emphasize again that as always, this is a very back-tag friendly event.

If you are participating in the heist with a character that’s interested in stealing stuff besides things relevant to Atroma, comment to this post and we’ll let you know what your character can get!

The serving staff during the ball; how uncomfortable would they be if someone started chatting with them in just a friendly manner? Like starting out about the weather, slowly moving into how their day is going, have they worked this place before, how big is the house, wow that sounds like a lot of work, any rooms you're not allowed into, where's the toilet?

Just a seemingly casual kind of thing, but if they are willing to gab (even better if it's not in a crowded place. Or conversations started on/off through the night. He wouldn't want anyone to get fired.) What information might Vash be able to get? Like where something good might be tucked away? Or anything that may help with the heist?

It's cool if they don't want to talk! Just might change my top level a bit! And this is how Vash does 'stealth' by trying to make friends.

The staff are friendly enough with chatting, though if the conversation seems obviously manipulative they'll probably start getting leery and wander off. Some can be bribed into telling Vash some information about the house, such that it's way bigger than what's open to the public, and they aren't even allowed access to some parts. No explicit details, but it's clear that there's much more to this place than Dreadhorse would admit.

If he observes the waitstaff enough, he may also see some of them coming in and out of hidden doors in parts of the mansion. It's really hard to say if these are leading to secret areas, or are just servant doors.

In one of the storage rooms that Fie will come across on her ventures, she will find a live armadillo with a diamond studded collar and leash that's been tied to a wall. The armadillo looks like it's been well fed, but somewhat neglected otherwise. They were probably some gift given to them by Dreadhorse, rather than a beloved pet.

I'm interested in this for Shinji! It's highly likely that he won't take anything (it depends!), but he'll struggle with the idea, for sure.

Honestly Velvet's not above snatching something if it seems relevant or useful to her somehow. So, she might?

Vash is unlikely to steal but he will be snooping around for info that may be helpful. So just in case he might find something that may have once belonged to someone in the colonies he's been trying to help out with their bandit problem or just something else random he can't keep his snooping fingers out of.

Darn these main character heroic hero types. Always sticking their noses in everything.

Keith is on the lookout for anything actually useful (namely, anything that could be a weapon) or something he could use to gain credits or anything he could use information-wise (he might stick paperwork to his problem-solving board). He's not really into actually stealing stuff for the sake of stealing.

Grace is here mostly for Atroma, but she's a criminal of opportunity, and she'll take anything that's not nailed down and easy to grab. She's extremely skilled at finding secret spots, disarming traps and picking locks.
