Summer Test Drive! (Calibrations edition!)

THE SUMMER TEST DRIVE MEME
(Or Winter Test Drive for you Southern Hemisphere folks!)
Got someone you want to try out before you app? Well this is the post for it! Feel free to use anything that fits in the setting of Drift Fleet! Want to play bumper shuttles? Want to go wild in a med bay? Play around with the current plot? Have at it!
Threads from the Test-Drive may be made game "canon" but DO NOT count toward AC!
FOR NEW PLAYERS: You DO NOT NEED an invite to participate in the TEST DRIVE! If you decide to APP into the game, ONLY THEN will you need an invite from a current player!
SPECIAL NOTE!
Since June is a special month in which we'll be breaking from the usual plot to bring back the calibrations plot, the Test Drive prompts will come in two flavors!
OPTION A: Standard Test Drive
Go ahead and treat the test drive as you normally would, using past plots or fleet locations as your setting! Here's some helpful info for some ideas.
OPTION B: Build-a-Calibration
If you'd like, you can use the info given about the Calibrations plot to design your own calibration room for any characters you want! Got a character you want to explore their inner psyche but isn't in the game yet? Go ahead and try it out! It can be a fully fleshed out room, or simply just a small part of it you'd like to play with.
Alternatively for any characters that are in the game, you can use this as a chance to either iron out, brainstorm, or test run any components of your calibration before the actual plot starts! We don't recommend posting the entirety of your calibration in this meme (as you'll have nothing new to post come plot time), but this can be a good chance to test out any parts to make sure they work how you desire.
Test drives are posted SEASONALLY, so the next one will be in September!

You are - ? [She thinks she knows and her throat aches. This could be a trick - a trap - but on the off chance this is her kin, she gives him a proper curtsy before rising, strong and steady.]
I am lost; I was with my children and my army and then, suddenly, I found myself in a strange room.

I can't remember the last time I had to introduce myself to someone. My name is Aegon, and unless there's been another Rhaella and Aerys since I last looked at the family tree, I am your great-grandfather.
[Not that that must mean much; Aegon knows he wasn't a wonderful grandfather long before-long before whatever had managed to go wrong before he arrived.
If he had been, of course, this girl would never had lived.]
Your children and your army? Those aren't often paired phrases in someone your age. [And he has a hard time imagining traditionalist Jaeherys or charming but unreliable Aerys letting a young woman lead an army.]

Family is a special exception and her violet eyes warm tentatively.]
I thought so. [She cannot look upon him enough.] I am their youngest child and only daughter. I had two brothers who lived into adulthood - Rhaegar and Viserys. Mother must be carrying one of them during your time - or one of my brothers that did not live to see life outside of their cradle.
[There had been two of them - as well as Shaena and a child that was unnamed.]
I have three sons and they are mighty. Without them, the army would be much smaller and far less deadly. [Her lips curve delicately.] Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal are my Dragons.

So both of them survived. [And had more children, which was a relief. Betha had worried over their granddaughter's growing belly, turning to glare sometimes at anyone remotely involved with the slight girl's early marriage.
Including him, of course. But Jaeherys had proven long before that he wouldn't listen to reason, and not even the king could simply throw the Prince of Dragonstone in a dungeon to come to his senses. ] And your grandparents? Duncan and his wife?
[For a brief, wonderful moment the distress fades, the confusion, the alarm lingering still in the back of his head from home.
There were dragons in the world again.
His next words are half a statement, half a prayer.] I knew it. I knew they'd return...

[Like an infestation. She turns away from him, heart clenching at the relief in his voice.] For the time being.
[Daenerys visibly gathers her resolve, turning to speak to him calmly, gently:] I never knew my grandparents or my parents for that matter. Father is said to have gone mad - I cannot say if that is so - and he was murdered whilst he sat on the Iron Throne. Mother perished giving birth to me.
[So much pain, so much loss and it gets worse.] Rhaegar too was butchered by the same monsters that slew Father. Viserys had no choice but to flee with me to the East.
I was given the Dragon eggs as a wedding present when Viserys sold me to a Dothraki Khal. I lost him, Viserys and my son. Once my Khal's fire was lit, I entered it and kept his body and the eggs company. In that fire, they hatched.

And he laughs knowingly at that.] There's nothing new in that, Daenerys. Sometimes it feels like I've spent half my reign in armor, putting down one revolt or another, and I'd never take it off if I went after every lord who'd called me a tyrant.
[Funny how that had made turning to something more extreme ever more tempting.
He listens to her story with a face like a man taking a body blow. He's known that he's not the best of fathers or grandfathers, and sometimes he's wondered what that will mean for his family and his realm.
He hadn't been expecting this/.
Jaeherys, always a sickly boy, and Shaera-where had Shaera been when he'd last looked? He didn't know. Aerys, alternatively selfish and charming, arm in arm with Steff and the Lannister boy; Rhaella, pale and grim and dutiful on her wedding day.
Could he have prevented this?
That's Aegon Targaryen the man (are you sure of that Egg? Aemon's memory whispers in his ear, as always)- the King reaches out to his young heiress, the one who has lived with the consequences.] Then you've needed strength to be here at all.
[Though what's this about being sold to a Khal?]
no subject
He does not know. How could he? She must break his heart.] I will put an end to the revolts; to the traitors and all of their grasping and fumbling. If the people are safe, it doesn't matter to me what they call me. I will be a conqueror.
[And then the blow falls. The sickening crush he must feel...
She understands. Before he even reaches, she is hurrying to him, slipping her arms around him with warmth and tenderness. Yes, this Targaryen heiress has a kind heart.]
You think of me? Some tyrant! [It is a broken tease as she blinks back tears.] To see you is a blessing. I have longed to know you - to know everyone - my whole life.
