Summer Test Drive! (Calibrations edition!)

THE SUMMER TEST DRIVE MEME
(Or Winter Test Drive for you Southern Hemisphere folks!)
Got someone you want to try out before you app? Well this is the post for it! Feel free to use anything that fits in the setting of Drift Fleet! Want to play bumper shuttles? Want to go wild in a med bay? Play around with the current plot? Have at it!
Threads from the Test-Drive may be made game "canon" but DO NOT count toward AC!
FOR NEW PLAYERS: You DO NOT NEED an invite to participate in the TEST DRIVE! If you decide to APP into the game, ONLY THEN will you need an invite from a current player!
SPECIAL NOTE!
Since June is a special month in which we'll be breaking from the usual plot to bring back the calibrations plot, the Test Drive prompts will come in two flavors!
OPTION A: Standard Test Drive
Go ahead and treat the test drive as you normally would, using past plots or fleet locations as your setting! Here's some helpful info for some ideas.
OPTION B: Build-a-Calibration
If you'd like, you can use the info given about the Calibrations plot to design your own calibration room for any characters you want! Got a character you want to explore their inner psyche but isn't in the game yet? Go ahead and try it out! It can be a fully fleshed out room, or simply just a small part of it you'd like to play with.
Alternatively for any characters that are in the game, you can use this as a chance to either iron out, brainstorm, or test run any components of your calibration before the actual plot starts! We don't recommend posting the entirety of your calibration in this meme (as you'll have nothing new to post come plot time), but this can be a good chance to test out any parts to make sure they work how you desire.
Test drives are posted SEASONALLY, so the next one will be in September!

[ since both options are a little on the....unusual side. there is a pang of guilt in his chest. steve had landed that man in the most secure prison on earth and while he got him out - what if something had gone wrong? him and barton, there were different than the rest, they were fathers.
and steve was determined to bring both of them back to their children, come what may and hell to pay. ]
here.
[ he picks out an utterly ordinary teddy bear ]
tell her that one's from me.

[ with pride only a father could muster. every parent thinks their child is special, and to every parent their child is. that's it, that's the explanation, cassie is the most special person in the world to him because she's his daughter.
but she's also totally objectively awesome, he's not biased, shut up.
and that's - that's captain america. that's captain america handing him a toy for cassie. how cool is that? cool enough to make an astronaut-superhero daddy cooler still, that's how cool! ]
Thanks! That's - wow - you're - giving this to my girl? It's an honor, sir, she's going to love it, thank you - I - said that already -

[ at least he's not shaking his hand for three whole minutes now. he smiles a bit, pays the vendor for the teddy bear. ]
You're welcome, by the way. Figured it's the least I can do.

[ and from the way he says it, it's kind of unclear as to which part is more extraordinary in his mind.
look, after hank's elaborate scheme actually worked, despite it hinging in so many parts on ants - space really isn't that big of a shocker anymore, okay? ]
Well if you want to go a step further, you could sign it? I know, it's traditionally on the Cap paraphernalia but - [ he holds up the googly eyed pet rock and gives it a little shake, so dozens of eyes roll and settle in new and disturbing places ] I've got one hell of a 7 year old.
[ did he just ask captain america for his autograph on a teddy bear? yes? okay, just making sure. ]

How about if I draw her a card? That seems a little more personal.
[ and steve appreciates personal gifts, alright. ]
What's her name?

[ that's so nice. (sorry, the steve thing, it's going to take a while. it's captain america, even if he says it's okay it still feels disrespectful to just...call him steve). ]
You're gonna make me a hero - [ cassie saw him as a hero before he was one, but that look in his daughter's eyes when he gets something right - man. he lives for it. a personal card drawn especially for her from captain america? that's about as right as it gets. ] Cassie, her name's Cassie.
