(( OOC; Allura is from the end of season 5, so let's say they're already acquainted in game! ))

[ Allura had her own reservations about the expedition, especially given the nature of their arrival. Entertainment? Really? What sort of entertainment would the Atroma be looking for by allowing their actors to wander the dangerous wilds? No program that she wanted to be a part of, that was for sure, but she had to put that at the back of her mind in pursuit of knowledge. Things they should both be cognizant of, but not consumed by.

There is much more to take in, after all. The mists are oppressive and beautiful at the same time. The danger they face is real, though Romelle's depictions of a legendary beast bring her to pause with a hint of amusement. ]

It may, though we have no evidence of its existence but disappearances to go off of.

[ Technicalities. ]

I would like to find remnants of previous explorers. Many have lost their way and lives traveling to these islands with little to show for it.

[She doesn't mean to say it in such a shocked way but Allura is talking about losing lives.

Okay. Alright, Romelle, calm down. Just because there have been travelers lost and never found again doesn't mean you're going to find bodies strewn everywhere. Or even any bodies to begin with!]

I suppose they could have always left behind gear. Or something else of the sort. ... Right?

Oops. Allura holds up her hands in a placating motion. ]

Although that is honestly a real possibility, but perhaps Romelle doesn't need to think about that right now. It's clear where her mind is going to go. ]

[And to her credit, she's already pulling it on. Thoughts of remnants and such are waved away to focus on what's at hand. Romelle is good enough at compartmentalizing things when she needs to at least.

Once her mask is in place and she takes a breath through it, Romelle can't help but note:]

[ It becomes extremely necessary--not just in war, but in the very unique nature of this reality that they've been pulled into. Allura is, of course, tickled pink to have another Altean to relate to, so while she is confident that Romelle will do just fine after all she's been through, she does want to make sure they can avoid any easily avoidable mishaps.

Once Romelle's mask is on, Allura nods and pulls down the visor of her helmet. ]
