Hey dudes, since we're closed to new apps for the month of May, it was suggested we have a plurk franding slash CR meme for purposes of ....you know, friends! And CR!

But Lynn, you say! Maybe not everyone wants to add vast swathes of people to their plurk at once. Some prefer to just add players they've already threaded with, or use it to keep up with friends instead of plot! Some people may not even use plurk. It's madness, I know. (...actually considering how broken it is the madness is probably how many of us like, keep using it.) THE IMPORTANT THING that even if the Plurk Franding part of the meme is not your jam, you can still use it to drum up the uh, fruit-based sugar concentrate of CR! PERTINENT INFO: She's relatively androgynous, except her hair's been growing out. She did that whole thing where she dressed up as a man to join the army, and then discovered she wasn't the only one. She might accidentally introduce herself as Oliver, just because why not, even if she only went by that for a short period.
CR GOALS: ALL OF IT. This is my first time playing her in a game, and you get the most out of a character by throwing them at all sorts, right? Right! So prepare to have her launched at you.

PERTINENT INFO: Koltira's a big undead blood elf. He's taciturn, impatient, and typically believes that if violence isn't solving your problems, you just aren't being violent enough. He suffers from a literally crippling addiction to inflicting harm on others; presently, his lack of indulgence is slowly driving him towards a blood frenzy which will be unpleasant for everyone once he slips off that precipice. Besides the 'obligate sadist' thing, Koltira is a noble & loyal friend. And he does try, really hard, not to flip out and kill everyone.
CR GOALS: Frands? Family? FRENEMILIES?? WHATEVER MAN Koltira tends to accrue somewhat positive CR and then deSTROY it once his inescapable curse breaks through his carefully controlled facade, so. In any case he's a sad lump of elf trash who is grateful for understanding where he can find it & resigned to hatred where it comes to him.

CANON: Good Omens
PERTINENT INFO: COMMUNICATIONS ON THE SS PATHSTONE! He's literally the worst demon ever, he'll troll you and make you pissy, and that is the utter extent of his 'evil'. He has a lot of pride though, so he likes to brag about his evil evilness even if it...doesn't actually exist. He's also the Serpent of Eden and as such is good at that temptation gig. He knows what people want.
CR GOALS: Anything! Crowley can have a good mixture of positive and negative CR, he's the sort of person who can easily bring out the best and worst in people.
TYPES OF CR/PLOT I LIKE: He does super like ducks, but he already has a duckbuddy. Over the course of the game, he'll slowly introduce stupid crap on the network like really frustrating flash games and their ilk. If you ever find anything you'd like your character to hate/play with on the network, swing it by me and I can have Crowley put it on. He warps reality and uses it to annoy people. Yep.

CHARACTER NAME: Sokka alwayscomeback
CANON: Avatar: The Last Airbender
PERTINENT INFO: CAPTAIN AND ENGINEER ON THE SS BLUE FISH! Sokka is a normal guy in a world full of people who can control the freaking elements, so he has a tiny chip on his shoulder. He LIVES for plans and science and everything logical because screw you, superpowers. He's also a giant nerd.
CR GOALS: Like Crowley, Sokka can easily get both negative and positive CR, depending on how people interact with him. He could really use hanging around people his own age because he very rarely gets the chance to just be a teenager.
TYPES OF CR/PLOT I LIKE: HE WANTS TO MAKE ROBOTS SO MANY ROBOTS. He's also gathering maps and intel from every waystation and planet stopped at so he can find a way to get everyone free from Atroma and home.

CHARACTER NAME: Fenris wolfuncaged
CANON: Fenris
PERTINENT INFO: SECURITY ON THE SS TOURIST. Grumpy elf with bad social skills. He is really antsy about magic (especially magic being used recklessly) and will not tollerate demons, spirits, dragons or anything of that ilk. He's a former slave, so supporting that will get you murdered. His fancy tattoos are made of lyrium so all magic users should be able to sense it, as it functions like a magical battery. He doesn't like being touched. DO NOT TOUCH HIM.
CR GOALS: Fenris is great at creating negative CR as he generally doesn't like other people and is kind of a massive douche about things he doesn't like. You can get positive CR with him, but it's a much more upward climb. Fenris' friendship is earned.
TYPES OF CR/PLOT I LIKE: Fenris literally takes every day as it comes, so he just...does that. No plans for him at all.

CHARACTER NAME: Manolo Sánchez puro
CANON: The Book of Life
PERTINENT INFO: COUNSELLOR ON THE SS BLOODSPORT. Manolo was a matador who just wants to be a mariarchi. His life was recently uh...snuffed out and he had to go through a bunch of trials to be returned back to existence. He's actually a broken mess inside, but instead of brooding about it does everything he can to make sure other people are happy. He's always got his guitar with him and is usually playing it. Music and lyrics just come to him, anyone is welcome to recognise a song he plays as something that exists already that he shouldn't know coming from 1920.
CR GOALS: It's damn near impossible to make negative CR with Manolo. You have to be the worst person in existence and continue to be so for him to even frown at you. If you want easy positive CR, Manolo is here for you. He likes everyone.
TYPES OF CR/PLOT I LIKE: He desperately wants to go home and is getting homesick as heck. He could use some people to hang out with. Especially people in their late teens/early twenties because hanging out with people his own age!

PERTINENT INFO:Usagi is a magical girl who actually also happens to be a princess, but she's not going to tell anyone that. It's a secret identity and usually the only people who find out are the ones who are after the source of her power/life, the silver crystal. Her canon point is a bit of a huge unknown for her, as she's not sure whether her huge motion to save everyone actually worked. HOWEVER that doesn't mean she's anything but an ordinary hyperactive cheerful girl. She's SUPPOSEDLY a councellor for the Blue Fish but we'll see how good she is at giving advice.

CR GOALS: Usagi needs friends!!! She is the type to get very lonely very quickly if she doesn't have those kinds of relationships. Right now she's really struggling being separated from her friends and boyfriend back home. I am also fine with negative CR, especially with characters with whom her personality is likely to grate on. Give me your lone wolves who need sunshine and cheer or your equally cheerful who need someone to bounce around with them, I am up for anything!

TYPES OF CR/PLOT I LIKE: pRETTY MUCH ANYTHING. But I really enjoy shoving Usagi at cranky sourpusses and basically having her try hard as hell to win them over. It usually works, but I am okay with it going horribly wrong. Usagi is very good at being the one to comfort someone who is upset, and generally being a source of warmth and light so I enjoy putting her in that role a lot. I am generally fond of pretty much anything anyone throws at me though.

She's normally with Teepo/her doll/mana booster and canon never shows her fighting without him... so, I'm planning on playing it off as having her get tired easily/weaker spells maybe when she's without her booster.

CR GOALS: Friends, family, enemies, frenemies! She likes making friends, but other type of CR is totally fine with me. He was raised as a sex slave and doesn't know what to do with freedom, and also has a drug addiction. SO THERE'S THAT.
CR GOALS: Nel is a very social creature, even if most of his relationships are superficial, so I'd really like to build him back up to that. He can both do fluff for more innocent characters, and more serious stuff for anyone who's up to it. He also needs more bad-influence friends, since he icly gravitates toward them like whoa. TYPES OF CR/PLOT I LIKE: Nel is the only character I can really do fluff with, so he is there for all your fluffy needs. Cuddling, hair-braiding, flirting, being stupid. Though, while Nel is ICly a big slutbag, I sometimes opt to fade-to-black with him on some things, and I might shy away from BIG huge trauma since he's already been through a lot. But it depends! PERTINENT INFO: Coil is mute! And he's also a sneaky, too-intelligent necromancer who hunts vampires. And his partner is the guy who wanders around with a skull painted on his face all the time.
CR GOALS: ANYTHING. Coil is hurting for all kinds of CR. He's helping out at Krista's library a lot, so I would love him to meet other smart, interesting characters. It's really hard to grab his attention since he's antisocial and hard to communicate with, but he's also desperate to interact with people who might be useful or intelligent. Sparring partners, smart people, goal-driven types, people who will pursue communication with him even though it's difficult, magical types. idk he's tough.

CHARACTER NAME: Vanyel Ashkevron
CANON: The Herald Mage Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey (READ IT, IT WILL BREAK YOUR HEART)
PERTINENT INFO: Vanyel is canonically gay, so any romances for him for those interested will have to have boy bits attached. He IS magically gifted and this includes empathy and mind speaking (telepathy). On the whole I don't have him using these, but if you want your character to be read by either of these Gifts just give a shout and I will always ask permission first if it calls for it. Vanyel has a strict moral code where he doesn't invade people like that without VERY VERY good reason, so it's unlikely he will even try unless the other character in questions asks or there's a world-ending emergency.
CR GOALS: ALL OF IT. This is his first game since Para and first in a future setting outside of his comfort zone. So him learning about all the new things in technology and space would be fun. And him just opening up in general.

Paradisa helped him get over some issues he was having when he first got dragged out of Valdemar, but more friends - or a bed partner or two - and new experiences are always good! He's gotten more comfortable in his own skin, especially with Para and now DF being so accepting of his preferences and also getting to spend time with his lost love and basically get permission to just be happy and enjoy himself.

He has magic, so if that's something your character is interested in he'll be willing to show/teach if you have a talent. And he's always willing to help - part of being a Herald! He also is SO DAMN HAPPY he can sing and play music again, so that will be a thing for him for awhile. Someone introduce the man to a guitar and pop ballads!

PERTINENT INFO: Zelos is from the bad ending where (SPOILER for a ten year old game) he dies. He got resurrected by the Initiative in Exsilium, where he decided to change his name and start claiming he's a mercenary so he could get away from the Chosen bullshit once and for all. Since he no longer has to put on Chosen cheerfulness, you guys get to deal with the rest of his charming personality - blunt, cynical, sarcastic, apathetic, crazy, untrusting and in general hates everyone and everything. Though luckily deep down he's still a good guy.
CR GOALS: GIVE ME ANYTHING. Kaneis is someone I can never predict how the CR will go. I will give fair warning that he's got so many landmines when it comes to topics that we could be here all day listing them off. Because seriously, he's a guy who went 22 years before he made a friend. And then his first made friends killed him. If that isn't a sheer sign he's not the most easy person to deal with, idk what would.

PERTINENT INFO: Gay wizard with the outer demeanor of a noble, which hides the fact that he has a horrific past as a child thief and prostitute before he ended up with an abusive evil wizard master. And that's just pre-canon. King of poor life choices. He's also pretty smart, and likes to learn things. He can also be a catty, moody bitch, it's a toss up sometimes.
CR GOALS: Magic friends! People he can flirt with. Dudes he can sleep with (I'm not even going to lie, it's my goal to get him in bed with as many men as I can manage). While it's in character for Felix to try to make as many contacts as possible, it's not really within my capacity or energy to RP. I really want a few close friendships where he can be himself. Most casual acquaintances will be pretty shallow in terms of really getting to know him. It's how he is. I do welcome negative CR so he can show how much of an asshole he can be.
TYPES OF CR/PLOT I LIKE: Getting him to tell people his secrets is like crack to me. It's difficult to acquire, however. Also people being nice to him. Making himself vulnerable to other people, basically. This can be through conversation or straight up hurt/comfort.

I also like to find opportunities for him to use his magic in helpful ways.
