Fuwari Midorikaze | PriPara
[ Ship Barracks ]
[ It's early in the...well, if you can call it morning in space. Regardless, you've just gotten up. And Fuwari isn't in her bunk.
Nope. She's asleep on the floor, bedding and all. Accidentally right in the path to the door.
Are you enough of a morning person to notice? ]
[ Shopping ]
Oh, hello!
[ Noticing you standing in this pet rock shop, Fuwari comes up to you (all...under five feet of her). She has a bright, welcoming smile on her face.
For the rock in your hands, which she's currently bending down to address. ] You're shy, aren't you? Rr-r--r---rrrr. Rrrrrrr.
[ A pause when the rock doesn't respond. Fuwari blinks, frowns, and peers up at you. ] How strange....Am I not speaking to them properly?
[ Ship Hallways ]
Everyone, keep together!
[ Fuwari rounds a bend, smiling. She's not alone. Trailing behind her are about half a dozen bats and at least three ungs, all hanging onto her every word. ]
This is where we live. It's like our cave, except it moves. That way, we get to visit lots of new friends - ah, don't rush ahead!
[ Look out. Ung on the loose. Bounding right for you! ]
[ Jobs ]
Hello. I'm Midorikaze Fuwari.
[ It's an open mic night. Fuwari is standing on stage. ] I've never joined a "band" before, but please, if you're interested, I'd like to help however I can.
So! Please listen! [ She bows. ] "Come and Join this Song, Lay Hee!"
[ Her performance is. Not rock.
Whoops. ]
[ shopping ]
Uh... it doesn't talk.
[It's a rock.]
no subject
Perhaps it likes being touched instead.
[ She extends a smol but slender index finger to pet the rock - gently and carefully, in case this isn't to its liking. There, there! ]
no subject
[Keith was definitely confused. Did pets talk where this girl was from?]
It's a rock, so...
[She... was petting... the rock...]
Do pet rocks usually talk where you're from?
no subject
They don't look like any we had in the Palps, either.
no subject
You wanna hold it?
[At this point, he had a feeling he wasn't going to win this discussion.]
no subject
[ She hadn't wanted to impose if you were befriending it....
But here. Fuwari offers her hands, palms-up and ready to receive the rock. ] Thank you!
[ Beaming. Effervescently. She is gonna friend this rock so hard. ]
no subject
[He places it in her hands, not quite as carefully as she was trying to receive it. It wasn't alive or anything. Keith hadn't developed an attachment or anything to that particular rock. He'd just been curious.]
I mean, if you want that one, you can have it. But they've got a bunch over here.
[See? A whole shelf full.]
no subject
[ Doubtful, she looks down at the rock. Then brightens. ] Ah, I think he moved!
[ That or she shifted her hold on it. But she seems sure of herself. ]
no subject
[Moved? He blinked.
Oddly enough, a moving rock wouldn't really be a first for Keith, either. He looked at it closely.]
I don't see a difference.
no subject
[ Satisfied the rock is happy, she turns more of her attention on the, you know, person here.
(other person. the rock is a person too.)] Ah, I'm Midorikaze Fuwari. I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier.[ It was terribly impolite of her. She has learned a lot about etiquette!
And is still not wearing shoes!! Despite being in a rocky asteroid!!! ]
no subject
[Yeah, he was way more informal about introductions, so ... wait ...
She wasn't wearing shoes?]
Do you have shoes?
no subject
no subject
Don't your feet hurt?
no subject
[ She's smiling, but her feet are a little bit bunged up. ]
no subject
Are you sure? I mean, this isn't exactly the greatest terrain for walking around without shoes.
Why aren't you wearing them?
no subject
The nice people from the TV show gave us these lovely, easy-to-move-in things to wear. But if I wore the shoes here, they might get dirty....
no subject
[He was so confused. This girl was like... well, she had a point? But it still made no sense to him.]
no subject
[ Fuwari smiles. ]
I hear I'm thick-skinned!!
[ But then, she thinks of something, and frowns to herself, perplexed. ] ....or was that "-headed"....?
no subject
You should be careful, though. And, really, why would they give you something if they didn't want you to use it?
[Different tactic?]
no subject
[ She sighs. ] It's so comfortable going barefoot, though....
no subject
[Well... okay...]
I mean, it's really up to you, I guess. Just... most people don't find that comfortable. But, if you can handle it... [He shrugged.]
no subject
But she's still holding the rock, and Keith having mentioning "rocks" puts this first and foremost in her mind. She looks around. ] Have you seen whether they sell feed here? I wouldn't want to get into space and have nothing to feed him.
no subject
[She was really convinced this was a living creature, wasn't she?]
They don't eat.
no subject
[ BIG SHOCK. ]
Maaaaaaaa!!
