[Yang lands close by Blake's collapsed form. She's grinning, a mischievous glint clearly evident in her eyes. In her hands, two freshly made snowballs, ready to fire. She approaches, standing over Blake. She is ready to cement her victory. Her arms poised to deliver the finishing blow.]

[She makes a note that if Yang ever asks later, this is definitely exactly what she planned all along. It was totally a ruse. Totally not just improvising on the spot. Who would do that?

Her shadow clone solidifies under her, shooting her forward just past Yang's legs, where she's suddenly springing up, scooping up a loose snowball as she does, to plant it in the back of Yang's head.]

[No! Not with victory so close in hand. Yang actually totters a little forward, and then collapsing face forward into the fresh powder on the ground. A bit over-dramatic really...]

[After a moment, she rolls over, lying on her back and looking up at Blake. Her face red from the lying face down in the snow.]

You totally cheated.

[She allows herself the luxury of a small grin, leaning down to offer Yang a hand up.]

I wasn't aware we'd established rules.

[She accepts her teammate's hand up. Taking a moment to brush off any lingering accumulations of snow on her clothes. Her tone is matter of fact, but it's clear she doesn't even take her own words seriously.]

They're the unspoken, wildly-accepted rules of proper snowball combat.

Rule number 23. No semblance usage... especially if your semblance makes unfair shadow clone things that make you hard to hit.

[Her tone goes serious, but the smile is enough to betray her amusement.]

[Satisfied she got all the snow off herself, Yang looks over at Blake, her typical wide smile on her face.]

So you're expecting a rematch then?

[That said, seeing that smile, Blake falters a little, remembering the events of Yang's singles round...]

[Yang catches that look. She's been with her teammates enough to pick up on those things. She stops herself, suddenly looking concerned for her friend.]

Hey, something wrong?

[Honestly, between the events of that round, and then suddenly ending up here, she's wondering if the whole thing hadn't been a strange dream. After Adam, it wouldn't be surprising for her mind to make something like that up. Still...]

... Yang. Do you remember your fight in the Vytal Tournament?

The Vytal Tournament? That hasn't started yet. It's like a week away still. What are you talking about?

[Yang is obviously confused by Blake's question. But even moreso, she's becoming worried. Her friend's tone seemed to be implying that something bad had happened, and it clearly involved Yang.]

[Okay, even for her dream theory, that was weird. That... couldn't possibly be right.]

I... I remember up to the end of the Singles round.

[Scratches her head at this. Not really sure what to make of exactly what was going on here.]

The last thing I remember was we had just repelled the grim invasion and put Torchwick behind bars.

That was a while ago.

[Now none of this makes sense. How can Yang not remember the past week and then some? She's wondering now if a mind control Semblance is possible, but... Yang was acting normal that whole time.]

Maybe this is just a really strange dream.

What an outer-space reality TV show doesn't sound real enough to you?

[Despite the relatively serious nature of their discussion, Yang can't resist a good opportunity to insert a joke or two.]

[Okay, that brings the smile back. But only slightly.]

[Thinks about it for a moment.]

Okay, no, yeah... you're totally right.

[Her face goes totally deadpan as she continues.]

That's right. My dreams tend to be more...

[Pause for effect.]

[It's a terrible pun, but hopefully, Yang will be too distracted to follow up on the earlier topic.]

[There's only one pun master around here! And there's no way... she'll... find that...]

[Yang doubles over in laughter. She tried to hold it in, but the dramatic pause from Blake made the punchline all the better.]

[Well, okay. Puns may not be her thing, and it may have been a distraction over anything else, bu she still can't help but feel proud with a reaction like that.]

No snappy response? I might be better at this than I thought.

[Yang in-between laughing fits, Yang manages to get a few words out.]

That pause... and your face... too perfect...

I'm glad it meets approval from our pun master.

[Though now that the adrenaline from the fight has worn off, she's shivering again.]

Do you want to find somewhere inside we can go?

[Yang's rolling fits of laughter are starting to cease, but still she's rather low on air. So she'll merely stick a thumb up in the air, she's still doubled over, facing the ground. She does manage to squeak out:]

Sure.

[She's making a beeline for the nearest building, then.

The fact that this building smells like cooking fish is entirely coincidental.]

[Yang is still giggling a little bit when they enter the building. She's mostly back under control now as she follows Blake to an open table and takes a seat.]
