[ He rests his blade in the Soresu position. When it comes to battle, Obi-Wan has no regrets, no fears, no doubts. He is one with the Force and he knows it. ]

Really? It's not like I had time to browse around for a better option.

[He's not even bothering to raise his blade. Obi Wan won't strike first and even if he does, he knows his old master's moves. It's hard to forget them.]

He had suspected from the way Luke and Han had talked about him that he had perished. The Empire had killed many Jedi and he was hardly powerful enough to evade their powers for so long.

But this. . . this was beyond his comprehension. ]

[ And it would have to wait. Obi-Wan doesn't loosen his stance and allow the slightest bit of doubt to enter his mind. ]

That remains to be seen.

[ Anakin Skywalker is dead. Whoever this is, felt nothing like Anakin. The Anakin he knew, the boy he raised was not heading down this path. Not anymore.

That makes it easier for Obi-Wan. ]

[ Suddenly, it's very very apparent that this is not quite the Vader Luke and Leia spoke about. Every word spoken was off, not like Anakin or the Vader he had heard about. ]

[That wasn't exactly what he was expecting. But he considers the possibility that Obi-Wan might be right about something for once. Parallel universes, he saw that in a Star Trek episode once.

But shouldn't that mean Obi-Wan would be the dark sider and he'd be the Jedi? Mind blown.]

[Decisions decisions. If he kills Obi-Wan now (and he really wants to) does that mean that his alternate self won't get to? Would that fuck up the fabric of the muliverse?

He's not some hot-headed brash kid with something to prove anymore. He's a Sith Lord plotting to usurp his master and seize control of the galaxy.

He's also thirsty.]
