Got someone you want to try out before you app? Well this is the post for it! Feel free to use anything that fits in the setting of Drift Fleet! Want to play bumper shuttles? Want to go wild in a med bay? Play around with the current plot? Have at it!

"Y-yes, sir. I hope it's decent, sir."

What's scarier than a Sith Lord? A Sith Lord who's angry about his coffee, that's what. Finn looks around furtively, but it looks like Vader is paying enough attention to him that he can't run off yet. Drat.

Oh, and Finn had better pay for the coffee too, before the merchant gets force-choked. Double drat.

[dorkvader]

A thoughtful sip. "It is acceptable."

He knew he had a good feeling about you. Something familiar, like TK8008 but with more terror.

"What's your name?"

Good question. Very good question. But if he's going to make it out of this alive, there's only one answer.

"FN-2187. Sir."

[dorkvader]

"You're dressed a little casual aren't you FN-2187?"

He looks down at Finn in dead silence for an uncomfortably long moment. A storm trooper out of armor? That's weird. Luckily he likes storm troopers more than officers, they aren't jerks.

"Serve me well and you will be rewarded."

He doesn't have to say the rest. FN-2187 knows what happens if he doesn't.

"Armor didn't show up when I did, sir." Which is technically the truth....

Finn wonders how quickly he can get a warning out to the others here and whether he can keep his cover intact. Honestly? As long as Vader doesn't go around killing people or ordering him to kill people, it won't be hard; it's a role he's been playing all his life.

"Yes, sir. Anything else you need besides coffee, sir?"

[dorkvader]

"I hadn't thought that far ahead."

He'd had more important things on his mind okay.

"What is the status of the fleet? I shall assume my rightful place in its command."

Atroma won't let him take command, Finn's pretty sure. Luckily. Although--hmm.

"Eighteen small habitation craft, one slightly larger social area, but the real prize is the Marsiva. That's the big ship - all the other ones can't move out of its range and if anyone tries to stay behind when it moves on, it teleports them back. If you could get control of the Marsiva, you'd control the whole fleet."

There. That should be a safe enough goal to get into his mind.

[dorkvader]

"They're all civilian ships... lame."

Still, ships can be refitted and crews retrained. As for anyone who would resist him... well, he's not a dark lord of the Sith for nothing.

"Take me to this Big Ship."

[forcesensitive]

He nods, on firmer ground now. "Yeah, it's a civilian fleet. Did you get the intro about this all being some kind of holodrama they're paying us to star in?" Reality show might not be in Finn's vocabulary, but the idea makes sense to him even if it's bizarre.

"Uh, yes, sir. That is, I can give you directions and take you to a shuttle, but I'm no pilot. You probably don't want me flying."

Please. Please.

[dorkvader]

"We're on TV? Sweet!" No, he missed that. Granted he was preoccupied with the fact that his mug was empty and he didn't know where the espresso machine was.

"I'll fly it. I'm a pilot."

[forcesensitive]

"Yeah. Something they call a reality show."

Finn barely manages to conceal his relief at that (which is to say, he doesn't conceal it all from someone using the Force) - but that can be attributed to not having to fly. "Okay, sir. This way, please."

[dorkvader]

"Like Real Housedroids of Coruscant? That show is such trash."

He may have caught an accidental glimpse of it while the boys watched it on break. It wasn't like he regularly watched trashy television... Nah.

"Are you going to need a Dramamine or something? You're really jumpy."

[forcesensitive]

"Uh, never saw that one." It might have something to do with coming from 30-plus years in the future. Then again, Vader could be pulling his leg testing him.

"Didn't expect to see you here, sir. And me without my uniform. Maybe I should get a Dramamine." Finn guides Darth Vader to the closest shuttleport and points out the Marsiva in orbit.

[dorkvader]

"Good. I don't want you throwing up all over the place." He gestures to himself. "This isn't easy to get clean you know."

So, that's the big ship. Not too shabby. A bit too minimalist for his taste (where are all the guns?).

"I shall get us a shuttle." He can be very persuasive.

[forcesensitive]

"I, uh, no sir, I bet it's not." And three guesses on who'd be shanghai'd into cleaning it up. What is his life?

"I'll grab something from the pharmacy." Maybe some kind of anti-anxiety thing rather than a Dramamine, though. This is terrifying.

[dorkvader]

It's not hard for him to 'convince' some random pilot to give up his shuttle to him. His forciness is strong. Heh, he's still proud of that... forciness.

Now to wait for FN-2187. He takes a sip of his latte, it would be a shame if he had to hunt his new lackey down.

When he returns, Finn is significantly calmer, even if it's just from the placebo effect. (It's not; he's also managed to text out a frantic warning to everyone he can think of that might be affected by Vader being in the fleet.)

"Ready, sir?" He'll grab the gunner position, if the ship has one.

[dorkvader]

He goes and sits in the pilots seat. Wow. He's never seen a ship like this. Okay, time to figure this shit out.

"Give the force a minute."

He goes calm as he focuses on the ship, dark power spreading through the shuttle. Soon his hands move and the ship starts up. Is it the force, or a pilot augment... who knows.

[forcesensitive]

Shiiiiit they're both gonna die. There's no way this guy has a pilot augment, is there? They're totally going to die.

"Right."

To his astonishment, the shuttle starts working just fine. Now all they have to do is go to the Marsiva which...doesn't have anywhere to dock at. Woo.

[dorkvader]

The ship starts to rise slowly... then suddenly shudders to a stop, groaning as the metal stresses.

"Oops." He looks around and, seemingly randomly, flips a switch. "Left the parking break on."

With that the ship finally starts to leave. Don't worry FN-2187 you're perfectly safe, he's got this.

[forcesensitive]

"Son of a--"

Yeah, no, they're definitely going to die.

"Watch out for the orbital controls!"

[dorkvader]

"I though you said you're not a pilot?"

Can you sense that Finn? The coldness of a Sith Lord's annoyance. You are annoying Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith, slayer of Jedi.

Sheesh, you make one little mistake and suddenly people start acting all jerky.

"If you want to fly this thing you can." He takes his hands away from the controls... his mug floating serenely as the ship starts to bob and weave without direction.

[forcesensitive]

"No! No, definitely not..not a pilot, it's cool. It's cool. I'll shut up. Sir."

Please take the controls again.

[dorkvader]

"Good." Now that his point is made he'll bring the ship back under control. "Do not taunt the force."

Now that his point is made he can enjoy himself... that was pretty cool, letting the ship start to crash like that.

[forcesensitive]

Cool sure is a word for it, and not one Finn would use.

"No, sir. Didn't mean it that way."

But boy, they sure are passing a little close to some of the other ships.
