Shapes in the Clouds....
The Marsiva and the fleet are still in range of the December System for another week, but those keeping a watchful eye to the skies will notice something unusual deep within the nebula clouds.
Mysterious Blips.
The birth of a new star deep within the nebula has caused the solar winds to rapidly shift around in the nebula clouds. Folks working at the Hotel Corona will insist to concerned visitors that this is perfectly normal and there is nothing to worry about, the station is entirely equipped to handle such weather changes. They do advise caution when flying near the nebula itself, however.
In the meantime, if any ship with a Pilot or Communications officer aboard scans the nebula now, they might pick up on several familiar blips hiding within the nebula clouds that were undetectable before. It’s hard to get a good read on the blips as the interference from the nebula is still very strong and they will dart out of range of the ship scanners. But a long enough look will indicate these blips have the same power signatures as the ships that attacked the fleet awhile back.
As before, attempts to communicate with the other ships will be ignored. Ships or shuttles can attempt to fly into the nebula towards them, but thanks to the fleet’s weaker shielding, they won’t get very far before the ship breaks down and they have to be towed back by ships from the hotel. Luckily, the hotel has the means to repair your ship to be space worthy for a hefty fee, but it’ll take a week or two more of crew repairs to get it working normally again. Until then, expect glitches and problems to regularly occur in the ship’s systems.
Scheduling Note.
The plan is to have the fleet remain in the current star system until 01/10, so players have one more week to do what they want in this system. After that there will be some drift time, followed by an event a few days after that. We’re hoping for an exciting month for the fleet!
