The Handwave CR Meme!

Handwaved CR Meme!
(Taken from the last time We did this and the time before that!)
Our characters live in close quarters, and it's impossible to thread out the minutiae of each and every day-to-day interaction! That's what this meme is for: helping establish some of the less "exciting" details of what our characters are up to and what acquaintances they might have!
Examples:
- People on the SS Paisley with Stefan will often see him baking ma'amoul (date-filled shortbread cookies) OR chocolate chip cookies in what could only be described as "stress baking."
- People on the SS Vanquish who know Clay's routine may have picked up on the fact that he doesn't sleep in his pilot's seat as much as he used to. Probably due to a disapproving boyfriend.
There will be headers for each ship for general ship-related things, but use them as jumping off points! Don't feel restricted to your own ship (for example, Stefan spends a lot of time on the Huntress, even though he's the Paisley's captain). Make your own top-levels, build some handwaved CR, and let's smush our characters together!

SS Bloodsport
Nami
- Nami spends a fair amount of time off-ship at the Iskaulit, but she'll check in on her crew regularly to make sure there aren't issues. She's cheerful and snarky and won't take your shit, but she does try to iron out anything that's wrong.
- She's nutted out safety/help-we're-being-raided procedures for the ship and is going to teach anyone who doesn't know First Aid the basics at the very least. Also please carry a weapon from the armory if you don't have one of your own :T Consider yourself nagged.
- More personally, she loves that goddamned jacuzzi and probably uses it to excess.
- Her room has various world-based maps and star charts taped up all over the place with her own cartography notes, and she's often studying star charts on the bridge in her ever-present desire to Learn Space Stuff
- She also has her own stock of liquor on the ship (space rum, totally) which she keeps in her room, but will often pull out in case of late night hang-outs
- She replenishes the kitchen with a bunch of fruits/vegetables at each planet stop, and very recently a small basket of mikan fruit from the Iskaulit's gardens has shown up. It has a note saying PLEASE ASK FIRST taped to it. (She used some to make mikan sauce, though, which everyone's welcome to.)
- She gets up early and goes to bed late and dedicates far too much of her time to making sure all her responsibilities are running smoothly
- So she may overwork just a tad.
- in the cargo bay there is her waver, which is a vehicle that kind of looks like someone stuck motorbike handles on a rowboat:
It looks unwieldy and weird and Nami will take it off-ship at most planets with bodies of water, so if you find her down there you'll work out it's basically the One Piece equivalent of a jetski. But other people attempting to use it will probably result in chaos and injury and screaming redheads because it's very...hard to control. :D
- other hobbies include late night reading and poker nights. she's a big fan of card games.
- also, because it's not obvious from some of her icons, she does have a tattoo on her left shoulder she displays prominently. And behind it, she has some jagged scarring. Tattoo and scar seen here.
SS Red Fish
SS Blue Fish
INFO POST
Allen Walker
In general he's polite and friendly, but the more you get to know him the more casual and snarky he gets. There's a bit of a temper with him, but usually he's more inclined to take it out on the ship's punching bag than the crew. He's usually so busy with work he's not that quick to know the ship gossip, but he'll be happy to help any of the fellow crew.
Other things to note:
Riona Cousland
With the new blackbox theater going up, she'll be over on the Iskaulit quite a bit, seeing how it's going and helping with construction when she can.
Often she'll have her mabari, Kiter tagging along with her. He's grown to be a bit larger than a puppy, but he will not ever reach full height in the fleet. He loves attention and belly rubs, and likely has befriended everyone in the crew by now, save perhaps for newcomers.
Things of Note:
- Riona is 22 years old (21 physically, not that it makes much of a difference because she looks her age).
- She's got a nasty scar that runs in between her breasts, starting from her navel and working up to almost her collarbone. Sometimes the top can be visible if she's wearing a loose fitting shirt or somesuch.
- If you're really lucky, you might hear her singing. Don't be surprised if she denies it or tries to play it off, though. She thinks she's subpar at it.
- She loves reading plays. Ask her about what she's reading only if you're prepared for a long rant.
- Once upon a time she had her commissioned armor set on display in her room, and she could be seen polishing it. However, save for the helm, it's now destroyed thanks to the raiders and their laser blasts.
- It almost never comes up but she's actually quite vain about her hair. She loves keeping it in up-dos or trying out some new style, whether it's something she saw or one she's inventing.
- Has a weakness for fruit tarts or anything with good fruit filling. If such a dessert is around the ship... consider it gone.
- Despite being barely 5'5", Riona eats a fair bit, thanks to her Grey Warden stamina and increased appetite. It's not quite as bad as Allen, but it's still considerable.
- Every once in awhile she'll have some seriously bad nightmares. Sometimes thanks to the taint and her connection to the darkspawn, other times just from the shit she's gone through. It's probably something most of the ship's crew suffer, but there's probably been a handful of instances of terrified screams from her room in the middle of the night.
- To anyone not familiar with her canon: it sounds like she has a British accent. Ferelden is pretty much the Britain expy in her canon, mixed in with some various other cultures, but yeah. Very easy to mistake hers for a British one since it sounds exactly the same.
Jeyne Westerling
When she's not in the kitchen, she's in the Iskaulit garden or med bay, working on herbal tonics and salves for the crew. She's also now working alongside Leliana, Riona and Sokka on different forms of combat.
She's extremely sweet and gentle, eager to please and make friends. She does have a temper and is fiercely protective of her husband and marriage.
Things of Note:
* Jeyne is around 17. She looks younger than she is because of her small, thin stature.
* She still dresses in the style of Westeros with long sweeping dresses and long sleeves.
* She has a pretty singing voice, unrefined but sweet. She only tends to sing when she is tending to others or working in the garden and kitchen.
* Despite being shy and reserved, Jeyne has an adventurous side. She's eager to try anything, no matter how improper it might seem in her world. The most recent example is her wanting to learn how to wield a weapon.
* She's good at embroidery, but nothing spectacular. The sort of talent befitting a woman who was instructed in the art at a young age, but bearing no real passion for it.
* Jeyne is familiar with first aid and herbology, having learned from her mother how to tend to the injured and ill. She volunteers in the clinic, especially if there are number injured.
* She has a fear of dogs, having seen one of her childhood friend mauled during the siege of her castle.
* She has the lull upgrade, still only a level one.
* Jeyne suffers from nightmares, but only when she is sleeping alone. If she is in Robb's room, then she passes the night without interruption.
* She is pretty, but not overly remarkable. Her hair is her best features, curly and rich in color.
* She is welcoming, even to those that she doesn't know. She'll invite them to the kitchen for tea, wanting to fuss over whoever visits her.

Beverly Crusher
that are totally not romance novels what are you talking about, and dance (though that's mostly done in the secret studio on the Iskaulit). She's very extroverted so she's almost always happy for company.★ Beverly is 49 years old physically, but she is soon coming up on her second anniversary in the fleet, so with that time added she's about 51.
★ Her son's name is Wesley and she has absolutely told you stories about him at this point - she is often homesick for him and also very proud of him.
★ Aside from the Blue Fish crew themselves, she spends most of her time with Jennifer Keller, Charles Xavier, Stefan Salvatore, and her fellow Starfleet officers, James Kirk and Leonard McCoy. She's been a little more down than usual after losing two of her best friends to recent shuffles - Wrath and Finrod.
★ For the most part, she wears the Drift Fleet issued jumpsuits, simply for convenience and ease, but she does have a more extensive wardrobe that she'll wear every now and then - lots of tunics and sweaters and leggings, in neutral earth tones or blues. Notably, she rarely wears either of her Starfleet uniforms, instead keeping them safely packed away as mementos.
★ Speaking of mementos: she's acquired quite a few at this point and many are on display in her quarters - drawings, books, jewelry, plants, and even a photo album - all connected to people in the fleet, past and present.
★ You are going to get a physical from her, no arguing - but fortunately with her tricorder, that only takes a few seconds.
★ Her tricorder is almost always with her or in her quarters. She'll let you use it (under supervision) if you ask but woe betide anyone who broke it, as it contains letters from home.
★ She teaches various levels of medical classes to several people in the fleet, including Allen and Jeyne.
★ The two ship cats, Slay and Alicia, are for all intents and purposes at this point, Beverly's cats. Both are boys (blame Hawke for their names) and Slay is the braver and more independent one while Alicia is the more shy and cuddlier one.
★ She regularly practices mok'bara, a Klingon martial art, either by herself or with Sokka. And now!!! She got a pair of bat'leths, thanks to Maglor, so she and Sokka can duel with those. You're welcome, Blue Fish.
SS Wonderduck
Lily Potter (Harry Potterverse) Communications
She was previously with the fleet, stationed on The First Breath when she was still Lily Evans, that was for her a little over 3 years ago. She's come back the night of her death and remembering those she had encountered before.
She is most often found listening at coms, baking or cooking as it's a habit she never got out of, and practicing wandless magic as the war changed her wand use and she was not allowed to bring it this time. She loves tea (actual tea not herbal thank you) and will trade for it if she is out. She has some vanity about her hair and brushes or styles it often and even subconsciously.
She smiled constantly, seriously ask her previous crew. All the smiles.

SS Tourist
Edwin Jarvis
• He has a wedding ring, and your characters are free to note it!
• He also cooks for everybody, partly because he is just used to serving as a butler, but mostly because he is a terribly needy little mother hen who wants to make sure everyone's okay. If you've been on the Tourist, feel free to assume he's henned you into eating something, even if in a professional sort of manner!
• There are breakfasts every morning on the dot at the Tourist. It's even on the Tourist blurb at the bottom of the page, because it's just a Thing He Does Now.
• He's 90% in a suit, even if he has to continuously clean his only suit. He is pining for more suits. Please help him. He is very 1940's.
• Also very British.
• His room is very, very tidy, though he's made it surprisingly homely. It's well-scented and there is a little number of vases, paintings (from space!!! how novel!!!), and so on. The first thing he did with his credits after buying some decent spices is to spice up his room. HAR HAR.
• Also, familiar to my old character (I miss ye, Koala), he is a cleaner. The Tourist will be very cleaned up and well-maintained. No dirty dishes or covered tables here, even if he has to fight you on it.
• Aliens or people who are clearly not human will startle him at first meeting, but he'll be quite accepting, no worries.
• He works a day job at The Space Bar as kitchen staff! It's good to stay busy, you know.

SS Huntress
Sora Niniji (AU)
In general, Sora's a friendly and upbeat kid who basically wants to befriend everyone. While he's not above sassing or saying something when he's annoyed, he tends to stay out of any major fights in the ship. In fact, he tends to completely vacate the premise if he feels the situation is tense to avoid alienating anyone. This is because deep down Sora suffers from crippling loneliness thanks to all his friends and family being eaten by zubats. You know, typical teenage stuff.

Gemini
She's a shapeshifter, and can take a wide variety of forms, animate or otherwise, so you never know when she might be around. She doesn't eat, so any food put out for her will go to waste, and perhaps the only place she regularly frequents that the rest of the crew does is the showers.
Her mood can be changeable, but generally speaking she's bad news and it's best to keep your distance...providing you know that it's her in the first place. But when you don't ever sleep boredom comes easily, and every now and then she'll be driven by it to at least try and play nice, or not.
* While she looks like an attractive young woman in her early twenties Gemini's actual true form is as a blob of blueish goop. It's a truth she's not too comfortable with others knowing.
* Normally she wears one of two custom costumes, she wouldn't be caught dead in one of the fleet's jumpsuits unless trying to blend in.
* Her appearance when herself is usually incredibly pristine, with perfect hair, un-rumpled clothes and not so much as a smudge in her makeup. Being a shapeshifter helps with that too.
* She bears a grudge against superheroes because one of them killed her mother.
* There's a medium sized under her bed that contains the main section of her Augment encased in a blob of Gemini-goo. While it's physically separated from her main mass it remains very much attached to her and functions as all other Augments do. While some in the fleet might be very interested to see an Augment out of a body it's not something Gemini's interested in sharing.
SS First Breath
Yuan Ka-Fai
He didn't need to eat or sleep at home, and still doesn't need as much of either as a human would, but he does occasionally need those things while here, and so now and then he can be found in the kitchen trying out small batches of minimal-effort recipes. He's probably caused the whole kitchen to smell like burning once or twice.
He does spend a great deal of time on the Iskaulit, either in Felix's library reading or writing about magic, or in Crowley's bar, or in the gardens. When there is a planet nearby with anything like nature on it, he spends as much time as he can there, because plants and fresh air have a lot more positive associations for him than metal corridors and space.
* His hair color is naturally blue.
* He is a half-elf and not terribly shy about making sure people know and are okay with that. When mentioning it, he will look at you askance like he's waiting for you to recoil and attack him. He may never get used to people not caring.
* He's right around six feet tall, and built pretty wiry. He is way, way stronger than his build suggests he ought to be, and his reflexes are also superhuman.
* He can teleport, and while he doesn't do it a whole lot, some days he may just feel too lazy to bother walking places. The teleportation comes with drifting-feather particle effects that dissipate after a short time, and requires him to have his wings visible.
* He has wings (see icon), but most of the time he doesn't have them on display unless he's using them for something, usually teleportation as mentioned. They don't leave any trace of their existence when he doesn't have them extended. If questioned about his wings, he will confirm that he's an angel and that that doesn't actually make him a holy being, but decline to offer much detail on what that does mean.
Kaidan Alenko
SS Starstruck
Max Rockatansky | THIS GOT SO LONG WHAT THE FUCK MAX
• He was a cop and had a family, but he won't ever mention this unless it's stated in a thread somewhere. He does not bring it up and still has really bad PTSD re: said dead family. Any urging attempt to talk about them will likely be shut the fuck down by him leaving or shoving you into a wall and then leaving.
• He's from a post-apocalyptic world. That much he'll talk about. It's nearly all desert and he hasn't seen the ocean in a very long time. Also radioactive af.
• PTSD, righto, he's got a lot of that. Max has terrible psychotic episodes at times where he hallucinates the dead, his family, and so on. It's best to leave him be when he gets particularly bad, which — while it's gotten better — is still something that happens. He also has long spans of time where he goes radio silent, where he gets a bit lost in his head. By now most Starstruck people just know to give him space. Try not to wake him up from sleep, he may punch you in the face. This is a PTSD thing, but also kinda just a Wastelander thing.
• He is originally from
• In fact, it's best to assume outside of threads he hardly speaks at all during that downtime. He's a very quiet dude, even if he's come a long way.
• Max has a hand-shaped burn on his forearm, a small scar under one eye, and a cluster of scars around his hairline and on his scalp from his past experiences. One may notice them if they look at his hair and notice a few patches aren't growing properly.
• He also has a leg brace on, and he limps when he walks. it's actually the result of a kneecapping from his past, in Mad Max 1. Depending on the day, sometimes he will have to stop and ice it, or take medication from the medbay. He's stubborn about letting people treat it.
• Max isn't dirty per se (not since leaving home/Ataraxion), but he has a very unkempt nature about him. His hair is always shaggy and he has a bit of a cowlick on the top of his head that is not at all controllable. He usually has oil from mechanic parts on clothing or his hands, much like a painter with paint.
• Max is a bit of a guard dog; he'll probably be the first you run into boarding the ship, as he practically lives in the cargo bay, either working at the small equipment there or repairing old shit.
• Speaking of 'guard dog', he has an old mutt with a limp (on the same leg as his) named Rock who tends to trail around him. He wears a red bandanna, courtesy of Wanda. He's a salt-n-pepper mixed, unnamed breed.
• He sleeps in 'his' shuttle. Yeah, there's a shuttle he prefers and doesn't like when outsiders he's unfamiliar with tinker with it (miss ya, Anakin).
• He fills all the nooks and crannies of the Starstruck with emergency rations. He also is a bit of a hoarder, so his room is actually just full of useful things like cloth, metalworks, bolts and nuts in jars, wheels, etc. It's ever-expanding and someone will probably have to tell him he doesn't need to have all this stuff. He will firmly disagree. Sorry.
• He is always wearing a bracelet. It's the arm bracelet of a child he saved who died on his watch.
• He's often wearing a leather jacket that he seems very very attached to.
• He has a brand on the back of his neck one might notice if he has his jacket off.
• He also has a disturbing upside down tattoo on his back (here it is rightside up), detailing information about him ala cattle style. He was used as a living bloodbag for an extended amount of time (perhaps weeks or months, the movie doesn't specify and Max won't really know the timeframe anyway), and yes, this is something he doesn't particularly like talking about unless you're really close to him and have accidentally seen it.
• Unless you're crew or you know him well, he probaaably won't tell you his name.
• He probably won't ask for yours, either.
• Now go away.

- As a result, for those who are familiar with the fact she can turn into a cat, her feline form is no longer a kitten. Young adult tuxedo cat, basically. You will never see her turn into a cat. She's either a cat, or she's a human.
- Her eyes are slightly too green to really feel natural.
- She is British, from the midwest, and sounds it, though she rounds her Rs a little more like an American as she spent a year in New York.
- She has a band of burn scarring around her left wrist, and three thinner scars further up her arm that look like they were deliberate self incisions. Anyone who knows Sam and is perceptive enough will probably realise he has three thin scars on his arm with the exact same placement.
- She also has her own cat, a pure black one, which lives in Katie's room but tends to travel off planet with her or to the Iskaulit gardens so the poor thing doesn't go stir crazy. It's a normal cat, but is prone to hissing or being distracted more than normal by Things That Aren't There. That's because Licorice has been around Katie too long and is kind of perma-enchanted.
- SHE LIES. DEAR GOD SHE LIES. The only time she doesn't is when she's telling you something perceived to be absolutely blatantly obvious or a universal truth ("the sky is blue") or when she's laying out the grounds for an oath, which will... never happen, if she can help it... or there are a few rare times she feels she has to be honest about something, at which point she'll probably beat a quick retreat shortly afterward looking a little green.
- Her personnel room used to be a giant blanket fort. Now it's been rearranged to look more like an office, though one specifically tailored for comfort and kids. The blankets are all still there, they're just piled high for lounging on, and she collects little nicknacks and keeps them here. Licorice lives in this room. There's a whole array of tiny blue woollen dolls/effigies strung along one wall. She adds another one every couple of weeks. Sometimes some might vanish.
- Speaking of blue wool, she has a ball of it. She has, over the last year, dumped piles of wool on anyone who needs it, whether it be for twine or a scarf or dresses for Sansa. The ball has never gotten any smaller.
- She tends to wear skirts and loose pants under a baggy shirt, and you'll never see her wearing anything tight on her lower half. This is largely because she has a tail that nobody else can see and she'd really rather be comfortable, kthx.
- She still has the lightsaber Kirito made for her. She loves it. It's a little smaller than it could be for perfect use, though, and as of the last planet she forged herself a normal sword. Decent handcrafting, nothing to write home about. There's a lion engraved on the hilt.
- She loves to art and when she's lurking on the ship on rare occasion she might be sketching her fellow crewmates. Or things like dragons on Big Ben or some such.
- She's often in the fox park on the Iskaulit. She sometimes sleeps there. She goes to the theatre Kirito designed regularly. When they're on planet side she'll vanish for days at a time in exploration mode, but with rare exceptions she's always contactable. These days, she gravitates to either (a) exceedingly dangerous situations or (b) kids. Either or.

SS Heron
That one super obnoxious supervillain on the Heron
-She's at least courteous enough to let everyone else on the crew sleep, even though she herself has no need for it. She is not so courteous as to not dedicate at least a portion of that time to trying* to access everyone's private messages.
-Her room goes completely unused, but she will object to the idea of anyone else using it or converting it into a storage closet.
-She spends more time inside the ship's electronics than in a physical form. While by now she's committed most of the ship's design and layout to memory, she still likes trying to learn more about it. And how to manipulate it.
-It is not uncommon to hear her using her bridge console to search for music. She's on the hunt for that alien rock 'n roll.
-Her very presence makes it far easier to receive a static shock by brushing against any metal surface on the ship. Mostly because having been largely reluctant to leave the ship until she finds something interesting enough to merit such a field trip, her electrical charge will slowly but steadily build at a near constant rate (as she doesn't expend a whole lot of it). If this ever continues for more than a few months, it'll start to affect everyone's hair.
Everyone except Charles anyway-It's not uncommon to find her playing with the ship's electrical devices. Everything from the lighting, to creating personalized messages no one ever asked for on any digital screen she feels like. They're usually pretty crude (and, occasionally, lewd), but nothing that can't be removed with minimal effort. It's mostly to keep her from going stir-crazy. And to see how people react to the coffee machine coming onto them. Or telling them they look like shit. It's a coin toss, really.
-Due to her own interest and the fact she never sleeps, she easily monitors the network more than anyone else aboard the ship. It may be for selfish reasons (wanting to find a way to leave, laughing at people, etc.), but it does have the unintended side effect of making her quite good at that aspect of her appointed job.
-She is absolutely a freeloader. It is unlikely she will ever take up a job, let alone put any credits toward upgrading the ship. She gets everything she needs from siphoning power off the ship, after all.
-Despite a fondness for annoying the rest of the crew, two areas of the ship remain guaranteed safe-zones: Personal quarters, and the bathrooms. She refuses to go anywhere near the showers, and it's definitely not because she has any objections to peeping on peeps. Her and water do not make good bedfellows, and really, it's best for everyone that she's keeping her distance.
-She will only pilot a shuttle to leave the ship if she absolutely has to. More often than not, she hitches a ride inside the console, and materializes upon arrival. It's as much due to laziness as her own pride.
-It's safe to assume that communication between different parts of the ship will remain pretty darn efficient. She'll happily relay messages, though they may not be delivered in exactly the way they were worded to start with. For example: It's probably a solid 95% chance something like "You are needed on the bridge" would be delivered as "Hey lazy-legs! Your sorry butt's needed up front, move it! Chop-chop!"
[*trying remains the operative word. She won't ever succeed unless it's cleared beforehand, don't worry!]

Hank McCoy
He dresses exactly how you see it in the icons, he is a giant nerd. He's also a mutant and sometimes huge, blue, and furry! You'll catch him like that in the mornings and late at night when the serum has worn off.
• He shares his room with Raven! They try to decorate it to their tastes so they have a lot of throw blankets and trinkets and such they pick up at the different stops.
• 75% of the time you'll find Hank in the med lab, working on this or that or something entirely brand new. He takes samples from all the stops and catalogues them, makes the serum that lets him pass for human, tinkers at the things he can tinker at, so on and so forth. If given the option he would live in the lab ok.
There is also rum and whiskey hidden in there somewhere for nerdbro purposes.
• He also works out in the cargo bay sometimes thanks to one Winn Schott gifting him a super punching bag. He'll do this when he's certain he won't wake anyone up.
• He usually wakes up early and goes to bed late, because he is a nerd and sleeps terribly sometimes. Don't be surprised if you see Raven dragging his sorry butt to bed on the regular.
• He frequents the Iskaulit often (library, gym, obstacle course) and most of the other ships as well!
• He's engaged to Raven Darkholme and sometimes they're gross in public, I'm sorry.

- She keeps to herself a good portion of the time, but when she is engaged in conversation she's generally quite gracious and polite about it and obviously doesn't mind the company.
- She plays the shamisen and holds weekly teaching sessions with Misty and-- possibly Kubo by this point? Or soon, anyway. She's very good, even if her songs tend to be melancholy and make you wonder whose lover just died tragically in a war or something.
- She can also sing, but less often, and only when she's reasonably sure she's not bothering people. Her songs are her own creation.
- Though as time goes on, you are probably not imagining the Fleetwood Mac arrangements that have entered her repertoire. Dammit, Misty. :T
- She takes her shamisen with her wherever she goes. Former Windrose peeps will probably know by now it's because it also doubles as a case for her weapon.
- Her weapon is a three-section staff with pike blades, which is exotic and one of a kind and looks really unwieldy. She can sometimes be found in the cargo bay giving it some careful maintenance.
- She really likes ginger tea, though she drinks it sparingly and with guests, most of the time. It's kind of hard to replace, but she's looking.
- She spends time on the gardens in the Iskaulit, and in quieter wilderness places in the worlds they visit.
- Since the fusion she's doubled down on keeping to herself, becoming even quieter and more out of the way. Which might be expected for withdrawn people around a sudden doubling of crew. If you're very observant, you might notice she goes out of her way to avoid Vash.
- Her room is pretty spare, but it does have a beautiful pale green evening dress hung on display and an odd collection of jars with anything from little sculptures to literal garbage in them. She can't bring herself to throw them away, just in case.

THE SPACE BAR
Alcohol is much the same range as Malum's; current specialty is some heady alcohol that was designed for bodies a little bigger than human so it packs a huge punch. It now literally has a note on it saying JARVIS NO. Food is standard bar fare.
If you are a regular please feel free to comment on this thread, along with anything additional that you think might be obvious from a conversation or two. Bar staff tend to know their regulars! Likewise, if you are bar staff and have distinct habits with your customers.
