The Handwave CR Meme!

Handwaved CR Meme!

(Taken from the last time We did this and the time before that!)

Our characters live in close quarters, and it's impossible to thread out the minutiae of each and every day-to-day interaction! That's what this meme is for: helping establish some of the less "exciting" details of what our characters are up to and what acquaintances they might have!

Examples:

  • People on the SS Paisley with Stefan will often see him baking ma'amoul (date-filled shortbread cookies) OR chocolate chip cookies in what could only be described as "stress baking."
  • People on the SS Vanquish who know Clay's routine may have picked up on the fact that he doesn't sleep in his pilot's seat as much as he used to. Probably due to a disapproving boyfriend.

There will be headers for each ship for general ship-related things, but use them as jumping off points! Don't feel restricted to your own ship (for example, Stefan spends a lot of time on the Huntress, even though he's the Paisley's captain). Make your own top-levels, build some handwaved CR, and let's smush our characters together!

Sokka

[personal profile] alwayscomeback 2017-02-26 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Sokka is your engineer and captain! He wakes up pretty early, and can usually be found in the engine room, tinkering on various things. He also spends a lot of time on the bridge and in the kitchen. Planet-side, he can often be found hunting, keeping the freezers full for the crew.

  • He turned 21 this year, he stopped ageing at 19 thanks to his canon point, but luckily it's not THAT obvious.
  • His...artistic endeavours are all over the ship. There's an ugly-ass statue of Suki in the cargo hold (it barely looks human tbh) and he talks to it a lot. He's also responsible for one of the handprints on the hull, and various crappy water tribe symbols everywhere.
  • He never, ever leaves a planet without making sure everyone's on board first. He also checks up on his crew at least once a week, just to make sure they're doing okay. Obviously I don't thread this out every damn time, but he really looks out for his crew something fierce.
  • He has an assortment of weapons, including a bladed boomerang, a sword and a really awful laser knife. He also has a spear and a skinning knife.
  • He hunts on every planet, so the Blue Fish always has a great supply of meat. He also made a bunch of freezers and drying racks, to keep it fresher for longer. The Blue Fish always eat well, cook or no cook. He also uses other parts of the animal if he can, so he has a good collection of fur, bone, horn and sundry to be used in weapons, clothing or suchlike.
  • His messenger hawk, Hawky can usually be found perched on his captains chair. He isn't very friendly.
  • Sokka is always tinkering with crazy inventions, and the cargo hold or engine room is usually littered with things that no one would ever need.
  • He's responsible for the lock system on the Blue Fish. He only ever puts it on it when he feels the ship is threatened, though.
  • He usually wears blue, it's a tradition. He can't fit into the clothes he came into the game in any more, but he still goes for clothing that's like the Southern Water tribe. So, lose fitting, often fur, etc. He has a steak tattoo on his right bicep from an adventure on the Fleet.
  • Though he goes hunting on planets and likes to explore waystations, he spends his nights on the Blue Fish as much as he can- his reasoning being that he can be there if the crew should ever need him.
  • He sleeps like a corpse. A snoring corpse.
  • On occasion, he has late night thoughts, which he'll usually text to Allen. Things like "can dogs understand rainbows???" or "do you know all food is blended to our stomach?". Shit like that. Allen usually replies by swearing a lot. Sometimes he'll send these to other crewmates.

I can confirm there is so much swearing to these late night texts. As well as Allen being annoyed in the morning if Sokka happens to say something that makes him start to wonder about it.

Also I bet Allen and Sokka have weekly officer meetings where they go over everything. Plenty of the important things they see eye to eye, but sometimes through the door you can probably hear them arguing over something really stupid.

And by stupid we mean really stupid. Like if things are actually wet underwater or if it's just the SURFACE of water that is wet.

    Really. Really. Stupid things.
