Shirley is generally favorable about Chris! He kind of got dumped in the captain role but he does kind of act it on occasion, which is kind of impressive and also suits her just fine because Shirley's mainly a leader when it comes to diplomatic stuff. He's been pretty nice to her, and patient with her lack of knowledge - which is useful, given that she's still trying to figure her way through the lab role. She's also pretty bemused by his relationship with Varric, because it reminds her of two of her friends at home.

...But if you don't think she isn't going to act on Cole telling her "he closes himself up because of stuff that happened" WHOO BOY.

In lighter news, she's still trying to figure out a good nickname for him but she wants to make it count. Variations of "Captain" are too obvious, aren't they?

Chris is just a natural go-getter that makes it look like he knows how to captain. If Shirley ever spoke about it or said he does good at it sometimes, he'd just be all ?????? what no, I'm really not but thanks I guess??

Chris would personally tell her that his name is already a nickname and she doesn't need to give him one, especially pertaining to his captain status. He doesn't feel like he's earned it. AS FOR ME, THOUGH, I would love to see what you come up with. /chinhands
