she likes the guy! he doesn't have the tendency to treat her in a way that she feels like he's being patronizing, and she likes hearing what he has to say about his world. as with anyone else, she has her moments where she's not entirely sure about him; he was nice right off the bat, and it's unusual and she doesn't think she really deserves that, so she's also still a bit uneasy around him! i think in most basic terms, she mainly reserves "friend" for people she's known FOREVER, so he'd be "someone i know," in a good way. ;; i'm sure there'll be more to say once they both realize the other is hella old........


aaaand henry for krista.

henry also likes krista! he has no idea how to lead people, he's only ever been in a sort of subordinate position, so his idea of "how to be a good captain" is basically "make sure the people under you are safe." and since krista is....the only one left....... he'll do his best to make sure she's safe! so he does definitely feel positively towards her, enough to be willing to fuck someone up if he has to :I

he has some trouble making normal connections with people, so he doesn't know if he'd call her his friend yet, since he usually...only calls people that if they've referred to him as such first? but she's cool and he'll listen if she tells him what to do. he will basically be like a puppy, following her around and being helpful and stuff if he can.
