SO I WROTE UP A THING LAST NIGHT AND THE TABLET CRASHED AND ATE IT AND I GAVE UP. So... let me see what I can remember.

I think the biggest thing was that Tek is both tickled by her, and seriously annoyed by her. There is both things. She still falls under a bunch of categories that he tends to really like, as well as ticking off a couple boxes that just get under his skin. I think part of it is that she both reminds him of the dangerous teenage girlthings that he tends to have a soft spot for, as well as reminding him of the old, apathetic, useless things that he has problems with. It goes back and forth. He would both absolutely love her to give him any sort of reaction or interaction back when he tries to talk to her, almost just as much as he would love to watch something terrible happen to her.

I think I tried to explain that constant weighing/balancing thing that he does in his head with everyone he ever meets. Emblica should be waaaay in the red, but he's still pursuing and giving her more chances than I thought he would. It might be because they're crewmates and stuck together, but I'm not sure.

Because he would still love to like her. He would love it if she played back, like, ever. But she has also earned her way into the group of people that he would stand by and watch if they were torn limb from limb. The fact that she would theoretically be okay after something like that helps, but it's still the thought that counts.

I DON'T KNOW IF ANY OF THIS MAKES SENSE. It made way more sense the first time I wrote it, last night. :T
